Maybe you're having mana problems because you're using Moonburst? Moonburst takes about 160 mana while Nature curse takes 80 mana. (This is without a torc)

No, because I always used Moonburst just 'cause I'd get hit less while hunting in teams

Actually you're probably close, without meaning to be. Now that moonburst speed has been upped I'm presumably casting it more.
