Most of the arguments of "Moon and stag suck" don't acknowledge at all that overall, Hartstone is perhaps the most powerful guild, and that the moondancers are not having any trouble holding a number of the top fighters.

Dark moon only gives stupidity and dementia? I'd hate to get stupidity and aeon at the same time. Overall the guilds seem fine, saying darkmoon is worse than heretic isn't a good reason to upgrade those guilds. The Serenguard just need something similiar to carcer.

I'd take blackout/aeon and all the speed/stat bonuses they can get over contagion any day, and spores/vitae isn't much worse than lich.

A - needs the cooperation of someone else
B - doesn't work on a mono

There's always raze, knockdown stun, stupidity poison and then aeon while they're still stunned.

Knockdown's stun wears off before you regain balance.

Stupidity poison rarely hits.
