Celestine = Nihilist > (slightly) Moondancer

Ur'Guard = Paladin > Serenguard

Geomancer = Aquamancer = Hartstone

In my opinion.

That's an exact copy of my own list, glad at least some people stay objective.

That's also identical to Ixion's except for the Paladins/Ur'Guard being equal, and the Hartstone equalling the other two Mage classes. Still just as agreeable, though I still believe the Geomancers have a slight advantage over Aquamancers/Hartstone. Poison gas is just whoreish. Satiated to passing out in under one minute, through constitution.

I forced myself to order them best to worst, without ties. Obviously, it's a given that the celestines and nihilists, for example, are very close.

I think skillwise-
Paladin > Ur'Guard

Thanks for that laugh.gif

Not my fault your guild sucks. It's not from the skills though. Read Tuek's and Amaru's posts.

There's always raze, knockdown stun, stupidity poison and then aeon while they're still stunned.

That's a great suggestion! No wonder they say bonecrushers are overpowered and yet I die all the time. I should try this tactic next time. weightlift.gif

So yeah. Perhaps the "purpose" of the moondancer class is to be the ultimate raiders? I can do major damage with burrow alone, since they can't know where I am until I've popped up and most likely started to do my thing. Plus burrow can let you escape through the distortion power from the obelisks that blocks teleportation.

This one class has burrow, leap, serpent, spores and unlimited vitae. Maybe the purpose of the class is the purpose Narsrim and Tuek have been using it for- practically invincible raiding?

If one sigil and a closed door could stop all of their infiltration and escape tactics Angkrag would be sealed up tight.

If our "purpose" gets to be ultimate raiders, i.e poor offense but fairly good escape, I want to see mages' "purpose" become "help in team battles" and being downgraded to sucking in solo combat. If we can't have it both ways, neither should mages. tongue.gif

Can we get a Mod in here to block Jello from ever speaking of combat again?

You've been three classes so far, I remember you lacking in ability with all three.

Heh, only just saw this.

Eh, even uninformed people are ALLOWED to speak about combat! tongue.gif We just all know not to take them seriously. wink.gif
Ceres2005-03-25 00:07:42
There's a great little ignore function, too.
Shiri2005-03-25 00:17:59
Yeah, but Jello sometimes makes valid points! Like, not combat related. (He's presumably not fought Seren much before, so I don't really blame him.)
Sekreh2005-03-25 20:14:45
I love how the fact that Narsrim and Tuek can kill a lot of you makes moondancers balanced. So what if Tuek is an omnitranscedant whore and if he and Narsrim are creative in skill use and tactics and team combat and raiding such that they can kill a lot of people. The link between their abilities and the skills is questionable at best, after all, someone with weaker skills and far fewer credits and a lower level can easily beat a higher level, higher might fighter with better skills.

So why does it matter?
Unknown2005-03-26 18:50:58
The fact is, all classes are overpowered in team battles.
*Sagenod*
I won't get into it, but I can think of a few ways any combination of classes/groups of the same class can own another person really quickly.
Unknown2005-03-26 19:46:19
It's called damage. ninja.gif

53 to 10.

Even if You have to downgrade the skills that go with them to keep it balanced, it would be nice if Stag and Moon got an upgrade.

(10 people voted against upgrades? Really, what are you guys smoking?)
