QUOTE
You put the Hand of Tzaraziko into the Marble Statue of Tzaraziko.
Your karma rises in response to your deeds.
Your soul cries out in ecstasy as it reaches new heights of power. You have
advanced to level 44.
You have reached the illustrious level of Valiant.
You gain a new honour!
The Marble Statue of Tzaraziko glows with sudden power, pointing the Hand of
Tzaraziko at Gaudiguch. A blaze of energy slams down from the city trapped in
space and time engulfing the Marble Statue of Tzaraziko in a twisting column of
writhing energies.

Damn Ixion tanked the explosion!
Kaervas2005-03-24 11:04:56
I remember doing that quest before, someone sent me a letter complaining about how their friend had been working on it for years. It was pretty funny, considering I did every stage of the quest myself.
Rakor2005-03-24 11:06:13
So did Asarnil, but he had putrefactation up and the explosion took him to 22 health, then he died from putre. I could have tanked it too if I knew it only did that much. I thought it was some ungodly amount.

I still find something seriously derranged about 2 forestrals working to bring ANOTHER city into the world... seems sort of.. backasswards =P
Jalain2005-03-24 11:12:25
Wasn't working to bring the city back. It will take much longer for the nodes to be totally drained. I was simply using the node to further myself in experience.

6k is pretty badass. It only gets higher too. Soon no one will be able to tank it.

What do you mean it gets higher?
Ixion2005-03-24 15:14:46
my understanding is that each time the node is raised, the explosion does more damage. Thus explains why the first node explosion didnt kill Kaervas at 3.2k, but did 6k this time.

It doesn't seem to be getting higher, I've been in quite a few. Kaervas survived it with vitae, though I see a lot of people vitality, then vitae, then die again anyway.
Ixion2005-03-24 15:17:16
I'd like to know how the damage became about doubled on me versus someone a bit less tanky, then. Hmm.

Edit: He vitae'd, OHH! Kaervas you deceiver! Vitae is a death in my book *peer* So is vitality if it gets you low again.

On a related note, ALL damage (save maybe mob damage) is based on max health. The more health you have, the more damage you take. However, the amount you sip for increases as well, and at a faster rate, so don't worry, there is still an advantage to having more health.

Because all forestals have the same RP and no racial motivations. Yup. ninja.gif

Kaervas and I both survived the first explosion when he around 3200 health and I had 2900 health.

I'm almost certain the damage from this particular quest's ending IS increasing exponentially (or linearly). Every other facet of the quest has. Going from originally 30 layers to some where in the several hundreds, from 76 some cobras to 700 some cobras, and higher. It only makes sense the damage is increasing at the same rate.
Silvanus2005-03-25 06:58:31
Go to: The Killer Node to see me surviving an explosion.
Falasin2005-03-25 06:58:52
Now I'm just a simple, down-home country bumpkin/Guardian. But I'm pretty sure the layers have stayed nearly the same, I've seen some icnrease, but it's still in the 30s up from the 25 or so it took us origionally.
Erion2005-03-25 07:09:05
You're probably right, I stopped doing it long ago. What I more meant to say was the number of sandojin for the Hallifax statue was increasing constantly. I remember when it took 6 per layer. Then, when Rexali went innactive, we were looking at 24+ per layer. And still the layer number was rising. It was getting crazy.
Falasin2005-03-25 07:34:45
Now that I know does increase, it was around 6-7 gila for the Gaudiguch one at the begining, now it's more than twice that.
