Achaea is 'teh suck' - horrible novice (and post-novice) requirements, with guilds consisting of mute bashers and snugglebunnies, or, what's worse, inflated ego-balloons. Moreover, the staff is far from helpful, at least when compared to what we have here.

I played a lot in Aetolia.
Playing a Druid there for a long time, a disappeared on a fairly long hiatus and came back to find the place... about in the same technical place, with a worse playerbase.
I think Lusternia already has more Announce posts than Aetolia, which I think says something.
Inactive Gods, very rare events, little change of bugs.
The entire time I was a Druid, I don't think they fixed it so that SWING STAFF would NOT work whilst paralysed, webbed, impaled, transfixed... Not impressed.
Despite bug reports by me and virtually everyone I fought.
Lusternia rocks. Pure and simple.

Aetolia used to be good, long long ago.
And then the following happened:
Vampire lost its glamour
Vampire became obsolete
They made mage-vampires in an attempt to clean it up
Bloodloch became a city of.. .well... I don't think anyone knows really
Well, come to think of it really, there's only one really great thing about Aetolia that it really has over all the others
Her name is Niuri
By the time Lusternia is Aetolia's age, I hope to see we have outdone them in depth ten times over. Though honestly, that shouldn't really be too hard.

The requirements are absolutely rediculous there. I believe Elryn over there have waited over 1 RL month to get into a guild. It has been blown way to out of proportion.

1 month was like, GOOD for the Druids, but that was because I was super lazy. (And so were most of the rest of the novices, hah.)

I can't believe I wasted 4-5 years on Achaea. In the end I left there before Lusternia was released, I just got sick and tired of it. Dang glorified chatroom
Lusternia is far superior.
That is all.

Having played Achaea for more than two years now, I still feel it's got its merits and I play for the people I've met more than the game itself. I try not to make it a glorified chatroom and do a little roleplaying or fighting every now and then.
Lusternia has taught me more about good roleplay than Achaea ever could. I'm still not much of a roleplayer myself, but I admire the level of immersion you get from the players here in Lusternia. I also really love the skill choices, novices graduating without messy requirements, and warriors with arm balances and wounds!
