Possibly has something to do with the fact that higher hp takes more damage, and where a mage would have 3k a knight would have 6k. :/

There's a random factor to all physical damage. It's in the formula. I guess because you can hit people with varying amounts of... 'Umph' and at times you might put less 'umph' into one hit than another, so the damage varies. With magic you're just doing exactly the same thing over and over, and there's nothing we really control there. Magic comes out of the staff, not us. Curses come out of the sickle thingy etc

Daevos does 1700-1800 damage to me as a merian with 3k health. Silvanus had a high favor, has low health, and he is not especially susceptible to lightning runes.
