Umm yeah, if you were there, tell me, did the way that this was just handled piss anyone off? Other than me?
Laysus2005-03-26 22:29:07
I think my estimate in how long it'd take for people to start bitching about a little bit of fun was only off by a few seconds
Roul2005-03-26 22:30:33
Erm, what happened?
Silvanus2005-03-26 22:31:44
Viravain, the Lady of the Summer Song says, "So we shall begin.."
Kneeling down on the ground, Viravain places Her hands on the forest floor. She
bows Her head and begins to softly sing. The forest slowly falls silent, the
wind dies out and the leaves of the trees stop rustling, and even the insects
hush to listen to the voice of the Summer Song.
Viravain, the Lady of the Summer Song sings something unintelligible.
Even the stillness of the night stirs as memories of an ancient beauty flood
through air as the song envelops the life around it with a low strumming power.
Viravain, Lady of the Summer Song, brushes a hand against a tree, which
straightens at Her touch. The leaves become glossy and fuller, and a sweet wind
blows down from its branches.
Small insects and spiders scuttle in from the surrounding environs. Viravain
gently breathes a soft white mist that travels from Her lips in tiny tendrils,
wrapping around these small creatures. As the mist breaks apart, beetles
transform into ladybugs, spiders into crickets, wasps into bees.
Several small bats and crows fly in and perch on the nearby branches, watching
with bright red eyes. Viravain smiles timidly and floats up towards them,
gently picking each up a bat and cradling him in Her hands. She kisses it and
it transforms into a bluebird that flies in a circle overhead, singing merrily.
Then, she does the same to a small crow, and the red light dies from its eyes
and its feathers brighten, transforming into a lustrous raven that caws
brightly as she places it back onto a branch. And so it goes until all the
flying creatures are transformed.
With Her arms outstretched as if to embrace the world, Viravain spins around,
faster and faster until She becomes of blur of colour and light. Suddenly, she
stops and sways, yet the winds around Her continue to churn with an sparkling
green glow, transforming all it touches.
A sparkling emerald green glow flashes over the Glomdoring Forest.
Viravain, the Lady of the Summer Song says, "Receive this humble gift, Gloriana! A small remembrance of what you were. Let this little patch of your sweet ground be forever touched with the love and light and joy of the Summer Song!"
Viravain, the Lady of the Summer Song stumbles slightly, then sways in
exhaustion. Even so Her face is bright with happiness.

Nice!
Unknown2005-03-26 22:41:24
Nice, but worrying a bit too.
Akraasiel2005-03-26 22:43:54
The divine safed roomed it, so there was nothing that could be done to hinder it. Its not RP, its .

Yep, I gathered a group to try and prevent it, only to find it was a safe room and also off-continent, so I couldn't even beckon once the safety had lifted.
Note: While I don't mind that part of Gloriana was raised, I do mind not having a chance to even attempt to do anything about it.
Ialie2005-03-26 22:48:01
Um... since its not part of anyones city.. why exactly does it matter?
Laysus2005-03-26 22:48:08
That's a really quite lame thing to complain about.
Shiri2005-03-26 22:48:34
Yeah, I loved Silvanus' stealth attempt there too . But anyway.
Silvanus2005-03-26 22:50:17
Didn't know nature did show a message, but I was inthere watching and no one knew I was there.

Well, some people think that the Gloriana shouldn't be healed, since there's all of these Glomdoring hints.
Could always do the Earth Plane next.
Faethan2005-03-26 22:53:36
They made it a safe room so that you couldn't do anything? That's so lame! If they want to clean part of Glomdoring, at least make them have to work for it.
Ialie2005-03-26 22:55:40
I wouldn't worry about this.. unless I were from seren, which I am...
She had to touch the taint.. contact with it..
What happens to you when you try to kiss a cobra?
Smells like tainted Goddess to me.

If there was something you could do to hinder it, it wouldn't have been a safe room, now would it? Roll with the punches if you really want to RP.
Singollo2005-03-26 23:00:21
Burned.
Erion2005-03-26 23:04:17
I have a LOT of mixed feelings on this... But, I realize, as Estarra said, we must "roll with the punches". I'm going to wait to see what happens.
Singollo2005-03-26 23:07:05
Man, now you guys are going to have retaint it. I mean WTF HAX.
