It was decided that the Magnagorans grouping to interrupt the event would have caused a problem in our story flow, so we stopped you.

Sorry guys, but I couldn't help noticing this. Isn't the game for the players? I mean, yeah, the gods could play a mud, and do all the stories by themselves, and whatnot. But should they be doing all the stuff on a mud where people are paying to play? (yes, I know you don't have to pay to play, but people do.
*Shrug* I think that there definitely could have been another way the gods could have kept the room safe... Rather than just being like "THiS Ro0m is t3h SAFZ()RS."
1) Called the SEG to protect the room, and stop intruders.
2) Call whitehart to protect the room.
3) Do something with the ravenwood, which screws with the forest and makes a little more RP sense for the safe room.
Yeah, I may be wrong cause I don't know everything about the event. Bite me.

Hehehe.
Daganev2005-03-27 05:17:12
If the room wasn't a safe room then Serenwilde could not betray the feelings of Viravain in the future, because she would see Magangora as the badguys and Serenwilde as her saviors.

That's pretty much all this is, conjectures and hypothesese. Since very few people know what's actually going on, and I doubt they're going to share it until the end.
Revan2005-03-27 07:15:19
I bet if the situation were turned around, Seren would get pissed that Magnagora's Gods are "rigging" the events. I dislike the double standard I'm seeing here which seems to be allowing Serenwilde to be spoonfed everything. Lisaera spoonfed the dreamweaver event to Hartstone, Lisaera spoonfed the Tainted Fae event to Serenwilde. Lisaera, stop spoonfeeding Serenwilde, please.

The Geomancers screwed themselves over in the Dreamweaving events. End of story.
The Hartstone needed Moondancer help... we were like, hell ya... let's help our fellow Serens out... quickly, break up into groups and let's find what Ridien needs to make this potion... let's communicate... teamwork! And lets snuggle afterward and have a naked orgy ritual. Who's up for snuggling?

And here I thought people just ignored my great points.
Revan was being blunt, truthful but blunt.
I love how Raezon let's the guild he patrons do what they need to do, good or bad decisions. It's utterly strange to see two Gods RP an entire ritual while the mortals stand about looking "stupid". Was it a joyful event for all you Serens who "got to witness" an event you partook naught in? Or were you all overjoyed at the fact that you got to witness an event you didn't have to work your behinds off for cause two beautiful gods decided to take control?
Kudos to those who are too lazy to burst out and say, "I want to RP, too!"

Hartstoner: "Hmm, I wonder where the next tablet is... Maybe here? maybe there?"
Lisaera: "You are correct!"
Geomancer: "I wonder where the next chip is..."
Raezon: "I'm not helping. You guys are smart enough to figure it out yourselves."

Are you jealous that Raezon is self centered and could really care less about the Geomancers when they aren't being a tool to help further his cause and Lisaera is not? As Guildmaster, you select the Patron. If there is a problem perhaps you should do your job and select Fain?

I never get invited to these types of rituals.
but really.. I don't see how everyone doesn't see this as a set up for Viravain to be a tainted Goddess.
Maybe I am seeing this wrong
but..
1) No other God or Goddess has done this before. Why wouldn't Lisaera already have tried?
2) She had to touch the tainted beings, cuddle, coddle them. Did she take some of the taint into herself?
*shrug* I personally got all scared
Ah well.
I think its a scary thing.

Llexyn is also a member of Fain's Order so we can assume better relations between Geomancers/Fain that Geomancers/Raezon if he's not being as helpful as he should be... or if his way of handling things blows.

Perception is one of your weakest points, I see, Narsrim.
I wasn't being sarcastic about my comment. I VERY MUCH enjoy that Raezon allows his guilds to think for themselves without holding our hands and assuming that we need the spoon led to us by going, "Vroom, vroom! Here comes the next bite. Open wide!" Quite unlike Lisaera, it seems.

I'd like to know where you perception comes from because that certainly wasn't the case. All of Serenwilde bonded together to help the Hartstone so guess what, they got the event done faster. That had nothing to do with Lisaera. Could it be that Serenwilde
A) Got lucky and found some items rather quickly?
B) Read into the clues faster than expected and thus reacted faster
You seem to fail to mention that the Geomancers pissed off all of Magnagora who wasn't a Geomancer and thus created a situation that made it more difficult and distracting. That was your choice. Take some responsibility and stop trying to blame Lisaera for your screw up :)
Unknown2005-03-27 08:20:10
What amazes me is that you all think Serenwilde planned this somehow. As though it wasnt just Lisaera and Viravain doing it themselves, and us watching. Just as when half an hour ago, we had the interaction between Viravain and Raezon, no one asked for this to happen, its happening to start something off, so do something about it rather than whinge. And if Lisaera spoon feeds her guilds, she is really picking on the poor serenguard, because she has never helped us in any manner outside of patron duties. She doesnt force us to do things, she doesn't randomly point us in directions.
Which is precisely how we like our Patron.
Which is precisely how we like our Patron.
Silvanus2005-03-27 08:21:16
Actually, after the third chip was found, Serenwilde had just found their first and Aquamancers hadn't found any, Geomancers stopped getting new dreams for about 14 hours, until hartstone got all their tablets, and then the third chip re-appeared at its place, and new dreams started to appear.
Veonira2005-03-27 08:27:05
It would really stink if Raezon started telling us how to do everything. It always feels that much better to know that you did something. That takes all of the fun and novelty out of it, and leaves you with a mindless task. And, bleh. I don't want to imagine what would happen if Llexyn made Fain our patron. Talk about internal strife.
I could be a big dork and write a comparison between a Divine spoonfeeding a group and having the answers to math problems, but I'll spare you. Point being, it's much more fun to go through the process than to just get that end result. (Well, unless you hate math.)
Can I just say that I adore Geomancer roleplaying. Sure, we pissed off Magnagora, but it's not the first time. It didn't really distract us, anyhow. Most of us can argue and search at the same time. All I can say is that I'm over it, and I wouldn't go back and change it.
