I'm Gloriana IC and Glomdoring OOC, though I did consider making Faethan switch to Glomdoring, it just didn't seem to fit with his character.

Either way I don't really care - as long as im not in charge, its going to be fun.

All ICness aside, we really really need Glomdoring. We don't need another "neutral" forest commune, we don't need a happy one (Ackleberry). We need something NEW.

Oh, and I want people that said OOC Gloriana to offer some kind of arcane OOC justification (not "me and my character, we are one").

I want Gloriana to happen, because I don't think its going to be like what all the people are crying about.

Not to mention that if it does come around like they say, they'll huff, puff and eventually leave. Generally I don't like negative, whiney players like that, and would not mind to see them go. More space for me.

IC I want it because Veo is part elfen and has always been fond of spending time in Glomdoring. At least before she would be attacked for it.

I don't care for the most part, but I just KNOW if we had Gloriana we'd have an invasion of snugglebunnies to eat all of the RP. I like the idea of a dark mystical forest, and I like the idea of a dark and twisted forest. It just seems like most of the idiots wouldn't be able to make the dark and mystical part work, so I'm hoping it's Glomdoring because then it would attract a different playerbase. But, you never know...

I want to see Glomdoring come, both IC and OOC, so there is more balance, and so that Serenwilde is dealt a bit of a blow - when the serious, more dedicated roleplayers, and 'darker' people will go there. Plus, if you look at Briclet, she is part Elfen as well, and enjoys wandering about Glomdoring from time to time, and would like to see it prosper a bit more.

I want Glomglor. An unstable batch of forest that is in constant dynamic change, struggling to mantain cohesion of a dominant force just to collapse into another later on. Gloriana by morning, and Glomdoring by night. Feral, wicked, beautiful, treacherous, innocent. GLOMGOR SHALL ARISE!

...the serious, more dedicated roleplayers go there? Why on earth would you think that? Most of the more dedicated Seren roleplayers are VERY anti-Glomdoring, IC. Say that it'll balance it, sure, but saying that it'll be better RP'd is just rather...thinking that all the Tainted players RP better.

Actually, I think the more likely thing is that a fair amount of the people Bricriu is talking about will make Glomdoring alts.

That is a no, imo. People who want Glomdoring inside Serenwilde already exists... I forsee a mass pilgremage from one forest into the other. WHETHER it is Gloriana or Glomdoring, I think it doesn't matter. As long as it is a seperate entity. *shrug* ONE AND ALONE.

I voted Gloriana IC and OOC because I think there should be a more complex form of conflict other than Taint vs Non-Taint

This is how I imagined conflict would occur in Lusternia

Magnagora - Taint
vs
Celest - Light

Gaudiguch - Chaos
vs
Hallifax - Logic

Gloriana - Evil - Nature must be used to obliterate the cities for they nearly brought our downfall. The fae are our slaves.
vs
Serenwilde - Balance - Cities of no concern to us unless the mess with the forests
vs
Ackleberry - Good - We must work with the cities to bring about peace to the basin. We are servants of the fae.

All the while every city and commune are struggling to gain villages and power. I think this leads to more complex alliances like maybe Serenwilde and Magnagora vs Ackleberry and Hallifax

I'm speaking from actual IC accounts, as well as forum complaints. If they go through with it, a fair group of people will leave Serenwilde just to have a darker, less snuggly rp driven environment. And I'll be glad when it happens. From what I've seen already, the small pro-Glom group has better rp than than most of Serenwilde. No, not all of Serenwilde, there are people who RP there. But yes - most, in my opinion.

I've done this before but here we go.

I am for Gloriana OOC because in my years of gaming/reading experience I've seen the Undead/Corrupted Forest bit done quite a few times. Ravenloft, Darkenwood(Dragonlance), Myth Dranor (Forgotten realms), Memory,Sorrow, and Thorn, etc. (I realise this does not hold true for other people, I'm speaking only for myself.)

I'd really like the oppurtunity to play a prime-evil, Druidic/Celtic styled setting (think the clash of the native cultures of the Britsh Isles vs. the Roman Empire), combined with traditional Celtic faery myth (Screw Disneyfication). If you look at Celtic faery myth even the 'nice' beasties aren't so nice. The 'good ones' are mischevious to point of being cruel. The 'bad ones' are down right viscious. If you take a close look at the history of the Celtic peoples they were a hard group of individuals, they lived hard, loved hard, fought hard, and died hard. A blending of traditional celtic religion, society, myth, and Lusternia's own unique setting piques my interest.

From a game mechanics point I wan't it because Glomdoring is only going to shove Serenwilde further up Celest's keester. I still believe that another axis of conflict other then Taint vs. non-Taint needs to be established for balance to be achieved. Glomdoring reinforces that line of interaction. Gloriana opens up the possibility of the breaking up the Serenwilde/Celest alignment that is really distasteful but otherwise neccesary.

IC I want it because after I joined Lusternia I read further in depth into the histories and I latched onto the Gloriana as a motivation for my character. He's always hated the cities, both of them. He is also a Moondancer and they were founded on the principle of cleansing the Basin and protecting the Fae. He sees restoring the Gloriana, especially Raven and Mother Night, as his sacred duty. It's become an obsession to the point of fanaticism. If Gloriana comes about then I get to play out the work of restoration. If it doesn't I get to play the slow descent into mind-breaking madness.

Seems I was defensive for a good reason. Serenwilde isn't as much like that as people love to overemphasise. We have the odd person like that, but more of us are serious than the people that fight them like to believe. I'm surprised people are still in "the enemy are bad RPers!!" mode, but oh well.

The only OOC reason to want Gloriana is the hope of having a dark, but not tainted, forestal organization. But that's nowhere near important enough to give up Glomdoring for.

Now, the hopeful part of me still is thinking, if we get Glomdoring and Ackleberry, that'll bleed off the bloodlusters and the snugglebunnies, and what'll be left behind is what Serenwilde should be: strong, primal, spiritual, dark in the way someone who stands strong for something and is willing to fight and kill and die for it is dark, and dedicated.

However, someone complained about the hopeful part of me so it got nerfed.
