Jack's quote is from the third, that was in '97.
But you're right, mine is from all of them, so you could count it as being from the ancient first game.
EDIT: I have the "Madness" version, which is the first and the second bundled together, and the copyright on it says 1990-1991.

I had the original for the Amiga, back in around 1995. Didn't know it was that old, though.

From what I've read, Fae such as banshee were loyal to Morrigan (Night, basically). They were Tuatha De Danann.

Aye, but in Lusternia, they aren't. There is a great danger in taking too much from real-world mythology. Inspiration, great. Duplication, bad.
Erion2005-04-02 03:10:29
How can you argue it even ICly that the banshees wouldn't be followers of Night.
Hazar2005-04-02 03:12:09
I'm voting for the Glom-wicca getting thornbeasts, wasps, loamadores, beetles, and spiders.
Just an idea, not even sure I like it.
Edit: It's -this- post that gets me Transcendent?!?

Erion2005-04-02 03:14:12
Heh, that would be more druid than wicca. o.O
Elryn2005-04-02 03:18:44
... because Moondancers can summon Banshees?
Because Night != Evil, Moon != Good.
Because Night != Evil, Moon != Good.
Hazar2005-04-02 03:23:03
Pah. Moon is obviously evil. All the blemishes on her face.
Erion2005-04-02 03:23:47
Moon isn't evil, she's just a sex-obsessed teenage acne drama queen.
Hazar2005-04-02 03:26:52
Don't forget the fact she's a Goth.
Erion2005-04-02 03:28:42
No, Night's a goth. Moon's a wicca cheerleader prep.
Hazar2005-04-02 03:34:13
Ah, yes, I got my teens confused.
This leaves Lake as someone who went into shock from a drug overdose.

Erion2005-04-02 03:35:02
drug overdose? Heroine's not a drug, it's my best friend.
Akraasiel2005-04-02 04:34:44
Well there goes my two years of Methadone treatments down the drain...
Singollo2005-04-02 07:12:09
So, Nazis and drugs. How about this thing gets shut down?

That's Fareneth, not Faethan.
EDIT: Darnit, Erion, you edited without an EDIT: mark so my post works weird.

***holds her head and screams***
-30 seconds later-
*rubs temples* WHY DO PEOPLE NEED TO BE HEAVILY INSPIRED!!!?? So tired of hearing "blah blah was influenced by blah blah lore". Doesn't anyone know how to write something original anymore????? Taking bits and pieces from things is great n all but use it as a 'reference' and make up something completely different. Its BETTER I assure you. Then people don't know what could happen and there's less chance for the always stupid thing to happen: someone comes in whos read something that was what influenced cruddy writing and completely morphs their character into a role that was present in that book/lore object.
In short... Imagination is YOUR FRIEND, I know you have one! Use it!! *kicks seelie, unseelie, celtic lore out the window*

Roul2005-04-02 07:59:21
Yeah well, Roul's story is he went on a quest with some dwarves, killed some trolls and big spiders, found a ring, went invisible, and then stole from a dragon who got real mad and flew outside of the mountain and caught an arrow in the stomach and died.
All original. I swear it.

He said something like ":ninja: s Faethan" while Fareneth was posted, so I corrected him, then he edited without putting an edit mark, so my post looked weird.
Anyway, Elryn, most of the darn time Moon = good, and so do the stupid Faeries. But I complained about that in another thread already I think.
Ialie2005-04-02 09:39:10
I don't know, in the histories the moon priestess looked pretty bad when she only saved Lolly Pringle and not all those other people.
