I knew Viravain couldn't stay all nice and innocent forever...but this surpasses even my wildest expectations. Whopee!

Living in Australia and enjoying other things besides Lusternia sucks, I miss everything.

Just read the events posts and stuff...
If this is not a sign of what happens when people try to mess with nature on a grand scale, I don't know what is.

Er...no, it isn't, it's what happens when someone breaks one of the seals that trapped Kethuru because their attempts at messing with nature on a grand scale weren't working.
Daganev2005-04-04 00:50:56
But thats exactly what happened with Cosmic Hope also. Its the same mentalality. 'Maybe, if we try this hard enough, the way things are can be changed for the better, and there won't be any bad side affects' In this case, the 'forestals' fell to the same feelings of greed that the cities did in the past.
I think this is a good time for Serenwilde to rethink it priorties.
Because right now, Its serenwilde that just released Kethuru. If they had been accepting of the Glomdoring for what it was, this would not have happened.

Hah... Serenwilde did not encourage the use of the Seal. That was all Raezon.
Desdemona2005-04-04 00:55:06
No. This is an example of an Elder God exhibiting weakness. Viravian's, imo, was the Elder's weakest link so fairly more susceptible to fall into Kethuru's power... Especially when She endevoured to purify the Gloriana by Herself, just to later be conned by Raezon, and then release the event we are having: A God Fallen being victim of their naive ways. Forestals, aka Serenwilde wanted to purify Glomdoring, but we didn't intervene in any significant manner.
Shiri2005-04-04 00:55:42
Serenwilde had NOTHING to do with it.
Viravain did the detainting of Gloriana on her own.
Then when she got to the trunk, she wasn't strong enough. Raezon told her to use the seal. It did. Everything went stupid.
Now, what part of that was our fault?
In any case, it wasn't "if we try this hard enough", it was "if we try something different entirely." Which isn't what happened with Cosmic Hope.
So, they're totally different, and we don't need to rethink our priorities.

But they did encourage the changing of the forest. Who would need to use the seal if they weren't trying to change the nature of Glomdoring?
Shiri2005-04-04 00:58:11
We weren't trying to change the nature of the Glomdoring. Viravain did. Then She used the Seal, which we didn't say to do, nor did we recommend it. We had no problem with her singing about it, since it worked in the other glades around the place. It was none of our fault. Stop trying to pin it on us.

Viravain on Her own means wanted to restore Gloriana, didn't She have fond memories about Her dear Gloriana? Serenwilde didn't meddle with Her, what was the big deal Serenwilde was doing with Glomdoring? Reforesting the area and to no avail. Serenwilde didn't even encourage Viravain to restore Gloriana in th first place.
Daganev2005-04-04 00:58:53
Serenwilde was very encouragging of Viravain to change glomdoring, even going as far as to seemingly enemy people who spoke out against it. (unless people on these forums were lying) If everyone accepting Glomdoring for what it was, and Serenwilde was not encouraging Viravain to change it, I doubt she would have gotten to the point of being greedy enough to try to use the seals themselves.
Shiri2005-04-04 00:59:57
But we had nothing to do with her using the Seal. If anyone's to blame there, it's Magnagora, because Raezon is their Patron, and he encouraged it.
Daganev2005-04-04 01:00:58
Thats like saying Celest was not repsoncible for the initial Tainting because it was Magangora's stone of Truth that was used.
Shiri2005-04-04 01:01:36
Wait, the Serenwilde Empire rules Magnagora now? Damn, no one told me.
Desdemona2005-04-04 01:04:08
Raezon is to blame, and Viravain for being naive. According to posts, Estarra said to Viravain something like if she slowly healed every room the Ravenwood could return restoring Gloriana. What happened? Raezon played as lucifer, Viravain as Eve and went to eat the forbidden fruit= the seals, which are the only thing that were actually able to keep Kethuru sealed. Serenwilde didn't really encourage Viravain, we didn't intervene with Her. Serenwilde wanted to restore Gloriana by our own ways, and by all means without using the Seals. So don't try to blame Serenwilde, it wasn't our hands who snatched the seals nor was our idea to do so.
Daganev2005-04-04 01:04:17
It was the seal of nature that was used, not the seal of cities
It was the magnagorans in project cosmic hope that suggested using thier city for the process.
It was serenwilde in this situation who advocated the change of Glomdoring and the ravenwood tree.
How many times did the detractors of changing Glomdoring, mention that Serenwilde was being greedy.

Shiri2005-04-04 01:06:19
Come on, that hardly counts, using the seal of nature. We advocated change, we didn't advocate using the seal. Totally different things. The first one was not advocated by us, Viravain just did it. Having seen that method worked, we were fine with her using other methods. But we didn't advocate using the seal.
DID. NOT. ADVOCATE. USING. SEAL. Emphasis.

Desdemona2005-04-04 01:07:15
Did Serenwilde mention the Ravenwood? Even if we did, we NEVER encouraged using the seals. Think logically= Avechna+Seals= Kethuru away. Why the blazes would Serenwilde encourage a god, that isn't even our Patron to remove one of the seals? Hey, Kethuru out would mean no Gloriana nor Glomdoring... Smart move, no?
Erion2005-04-04 01:09:25
I don't think anyone is SERIOUSLY argueing, from an OOC standpoint, that the seren said "Yea, sure! Use that seal!"
