Awesome censorship, Silv.

Damnit, that's a bad Silvanus, you hijacked and stole my ascii finger.

Id prefer Glomdoring not so that we(Magnagora) have an ally or so that there are more things beating on Serenwilde. Not for polarity or for balance. I actually rather it be Glomdoring so they can define themselves as a seperate entity from Magnagora. Taint is just another terrain. They dont have to believe in the demon lords as a matter of fact they can be something totally different which would be nice. Not to be defined by the terrain you reside in but for the beliefs the characters supposedly fight for.

I think the divine are just trying to scare us with hints to Gloriana...

And it's working.

I really couldn't have said it better.

This is all putting funny ideas in my head about Glomdoring.

Funny ideas that people would never expect from my character:

1. Is raven more l337 than crow? MMmmm, raven.
2. Can we get along with serenwilde, and be the dark, wierd kid on the block? Kind of like the Dark Templar are to the Protoss. biggrin.gif
3. Can they maintain complete neutrality? With them not fighting with Serenwilde, and not nessecarily having anything to do with cities...

I had some other wierd, random ideas which is pretty much a vision of a dark forest, but just not SUPER EBIL.

I dunno, I'm tired. It was an idea.
Laysus2005-03-31 19:01:53
I could live with Glomdoring if it allied itself with the Serenwilde, which I quite like the idea of.
Jack2005-03-31 19:03:44
Magnagora, however, could not.

I do too, but I don't think it's going to happen, unless White Hart and Brother Crow make a truce or something. dry.gif (Which I don't think is going to happen either.)
Richter2005-03-31 19:08:54
Not allied specifically. Gods no. But not killing each other either.
Ialie2005-03-31 19:12:38
Dear Whitehart,

I am super sorry for being an ass. Lets be friends?

-Crow.

Yay! Elixir bans for everyone!

Can the Glomdoring set up a row of totems in front of Rowena too to prevent Magnagora from getting any refills after you ally too?

The Glomdoring is needed to provide a balanced opposition to the Serenwilde and a total balance to the realm. It gets boring when we are taking on Celest and if it happens that we have them on the ropes raiding, a ton of Serenwilders show up to save 'em. Throwing in another party helps, plus keep in mind all the conflict you could have by two communes who each are centered around entities that want to kill each other. Crow vs. White Hart.

On the other hand, if you restore the Gloriana, you might as well just call us Imperian. We all saw how well two forest councils there turned out. Snoozefest!
Gwylifar2005-03-31 19:13:17
That's kind of what I meant about how it might, in the end, not turn out to be so much Glomdoring or Gloriana or neither but both.

I guess it depends on whether the admins are looking to turn the conflict knob up or down.
Gwylifar2005-03-31 19:15:56
You know, for all this potion ban complaining, what I hear OOC suggests that Magnagorans get their refills just about exactly as easily as I get mine. That is, most of the time it takes about a RL day to get them; sometimes more, sometimes less. There's like four active alchemists in the world and they're all either out of herbs or out of powerstones most of the time. I'm all for lifting the potion ban as long as mine gets lifted too!
Revan2005-03-31 19:24:13
The issue I have with the cleansing of Glomdoring is this: What's stoping Viravain from cleansing Magnagora too? She's cleansing a place that got infected by the Taint, why not just erase the Taint from the Basin alltogether? It's not like the Taint is an important factor of Lusternia.

In the Taint wars, only Gloraiana and Magnagora got tainted (leaving Gaud, Halli and Ackle out of this). Thus that's really only 2 places out of several that got pwnz0r'd from Kethuru. Now, take one tainted place away... why even bother saying it got Tainted in the first place? That's just like saying "Yea, this place got fucked up, but it didn't really do much of anything, so don't worry, it's back to it's snuggly self. Nothing happened at all! No Taint here! Just erase the Histories!" In fact, if Gloriana does come back, you might as well do just that: erase it being tainted from the histories, because it's useless information that made absolutely no impact on the Basin. ONLY if Glomdoring stays tainted will its being tainted in the first place have any relevance to the current way the Basin is, because I can guarantee you that in time, people who move to a cleansed Gloriana will turn the blind eye to any association with the Taint whatsoever, forget it ever existed in its forest, and turn into just another "good" forestal commune.

The potion ban is a joke.

And Ialie, if Crow ever did go back to being Raven, there would be no need for a silly letter. I mean, really, he can't write! Of all the ideas I hear from you... *mutter*

See, that's because Viravain doesn't care about the Taint. She cares about Raven, and as Crow, he's corrupted and not Her "baby" anymore. Aside from that, he doesn't really remember Her, and the "ancient bonds" cannot "Easily be broken", as per Brennan. She wants Her Creation the way it was. S'all.

The potion ban doesn't actually exist, currently.

And how do YOU know he can't write? He might get one of those little mini-crows he bursts into to pick up a pen and like, it'd be really hard probably but they could manage it. happy.gif
Erion2005-03-31 19:49:06
Or he could just, you know, fly over there and be all, "I'm sorry." and Hart's all, "You cheated on me!" and Crow's all "I'm sorry..." and then Hart's all, "It's okay. Commere big boy."

And then you'ld see Erion and Ialie watching, with a couple scribes and artists. tongue.gif
