Richter2005-03-30 01:28:06
Nope. I don't have $250 to waste.
I know. That's amazing.

Yes, the PSP is pretty nice, though I don't see UMD's becoming popular as a movie format, especially with no way to burn your own.
Lumines is fun.

My brother bought me a DS, but I haven't really touched it. I keep it out of love though.
Nintendo needs to give up.

God, GameGear, that thing weighed like five times more than the original Game Boy, but it was great.
Ah, memories.
Desdemona2005-04-01 16:42:41
Wasn't GameGear from SEGA? Anyway, why would Nintendo ever give up? They still got game.
Unknown2005-04-01 16:48:49
Nintendo.. got game.
Nintendo has its Zelda's, Mario's, and the occasionally company that decides to side with them for their own gain. I admit they do come out as great games, but the systems (Since Nintendo 64) haven't really been worth buying due to lack of games. What Nintendo needs to do is merge with something or steal some companies from under Sony's nose.
Maybe I just don't pay much attention to Nintendo, but I'm more of a RPG guy. If I want sports I already have EA secure for my PS2 and just about every other genre as well.

Yea, it was, what made you think I thought it wasn't? They were the two hand-held systems out at the time.
Nintendo will never give up, they have their own franchises and they've pretty much dominated the hand-held market, and still will. I've been playing their games since the dawn of time, and own every system but the ever so hard to find Virtual Boy, they've got no reason to be going anywhere soon. The only problem I really have with them is that most of the games are too PC.

I was just clarifying that the GameGear was from SEGA, not SONY... to KidHendrix, at least. Should've had quoted him.
Regarding Nintendo, it was the same deal when SEGA and Nintendo were the only guys around. All good companies flocked to Nintendo's side, now companies are after Mr. Walkman. Obviously because they have the conception of going to make more money and at the times of cartridge games... better games at a lower cost. A conception that infested every company and caused them to move from Nintendo. Still, Nintendo has survived at this height thanks to their franchises, hand-held market, and whatever "exclusives" third party games they can pull out. Unlike Mr. Walkman, a company that has had experience in many other branches of technology, so in my opinion the real underdog is Nintendo and it isn't giving up.
Funny thing is that Sony's Play Station owes a big deal to Nintendo to even come to the making. Just as Microsoft owes SEGA partially for it's XBOX.
Roul2005-04-02 23:36:21
The SEGA Nomad was better than the SEGA GameGear, except that if you used batteries instead of a battery pack, 6 brand new AA batteries would be completely drained after an hour and a half, at best.
PSP is pretty cool though. I'll give 'em that.
