This is what people mean when they say Hartstone demesne screws up entire armies without anyone else having to be present.

Looked more like the statue then the demesne. The demesne itself appeared to be doing very little.

Yeah, the statue was doing most of the work. You were dealing with the demesne fine, it just looks like it was the statue afflictions that messed you up.

Yes, the statue is the issue I am referring to as overpowered, I couldn't do crap cause it threw me into the statue over and over and over again...herb, focus and elixir balance only go so fast.

Serenwilders can wisp any invaders into traps instantly, they can flow entire armies right to the invaders, where ever they are...their demesne throws the whole army into the statues over and over again...

I just ask myself, why did they make serenwilde so much harder (about impossible) to invade than celest or magnagora? Our defence isn't anywhere near as effective as this, they don't even need any bloody defenders in most cases.

Partially because Demesne Summon > Will'o'the Wisp.

And the Geomancy demesne is worse than the Hartstone one. Unless there's a statue involved, though, true.

Serenwilde druids can't actually put statues throughout their demesne, or even one where it would be useful, unlike geomancers and aquamancers.

Remember Druid is a different archetype to Mage. Although we both have demesnes, we have different advantages and disadvantages.

The first point doesn't make any sense at all, since I just provided a log proving the opposite.

The second point makes even less sense, since all you need is a moondancer with wisp, and god knows there's enough of those.

The third point could have made sense, if it wasn't for the facts that hartstone demesne is far superior to the others if it comes to defence of property, and at least on par with the other demesnes if it comes to offense, i.e. with use of sap and darkseed.

So...why does serenwilde have to be so impenetrable?

1. Not in Serenwilde you can't.
2. If we can use 4 eyes to stop lich, you can damn well use one monolith to stop wisp. Demesne summon goes through that.
3. You were talking about the demesne when no one was there, at which point you can't use sap and darkseed. (And they both cost 8 power, or sap does, darkseed might be 10, can't remember, so you can't use both simultaneously at any rate.)

With sap and darkseed I referred to normal combat, other than territorial defence, to provide examples of why hartstone demesne is at least on par with the others.

I'm talking about village defence in this case, not commune defence, and yes, demesne summon is better than wisp, but demesne summon certainly does not justify the effects of entire armies being able to instantly flow to you from anywhere (which you don't need the druid for), or getting thrown into a statue over and over again.

And, demesne summon certainly isn't THAT much better than wisp, I've seen summon getting resisted over 20-30 times in a row, costing power with every failure.

most Serenwilders have 3 defences to keep them from being summoned by demesne summon.
1) root
2) spiritbond rock
3) invoke red

they resist almost all of the time

If the Druid isn't there, you also don't get thrown into a statue over and over. Treelife lifts you into the trees. TreeBane throws you out. Treebane has to be done over and over. Once you are thrown down, you need to be Treebaned again for it to happen again.

1. Learn to cure treebane and the demesne will actuall save you.

2. Willowisp is a very high level ability. Most people don't have it.

3. The Hartstone demesne is -not- better than the others. I've seen you die in a Geomancer demesne in a FFA. When the last time you did that in a Hartstone?

The Druid does not have to be in their demesne for the lifting thing up into trees to work, all it does is have to be on.

You say willowisp is a very high ability that not everyone has huh? Focus spirit is an even higher ability, that almost no one has, since it's the trans skill of a non-guild skillset. I'd say that's a lot harder to get than willowisp, you're just voiding your own points.

Hartstone demesne is on par with the other demesnes in normal combat, due to sap and darkseed, but in village defence, it is FAR superior to any other demesne, as if the other demesnes wouldn't already be totally overdominant in influencing and villages, plenty of topics about that.
