Well, the sceptre's level 2, not level 3, and it's Ceres' anyway, if that's what you mean...
And I doubt you mean divine favours...
There's no other artifacts that boost it, there's no int boosting or damage boosting skills that Aquas get, there's no other relevant karma blessings... are you sure?

That really points to how unbalanced Karma blessings are, really. 3 karma per hour to sustain, what an extra 30% damage, is nothing. Especially when that extra damage means you kill things faster, so you can offer more, and get more karma, which means you can get more blessings, and kill things faster..
This is the only thing I don't particulary like about karma. I wonder if Ixion has a war blessing or not.

As was recently clarified for me:
Aqua staff damage type is Heat, making it hard to defend against.
Aqua staff damage source is Magical, meaning knowledge blessing and sceptre both affect it.
Elemental damage of any sort seems to be unbalanced, since it's very hard to defend against. Proofs are broken, and Magic only defends against pure magic damage. Same reason people with lightning runes can rip through people. Geo staff and cudgel, I'd like to point out, do cutting/blunt (a bit of poison for geos), all of which resilience and armor defend against. Aquas have their damage cut by racial resistance and frost vial.

Add up the Geomancers staff damage, and you will notice there is one more unlisted damage type. I'm sure you can figure out what it is, if you try.
