I loved FFX-2, too. About the same as FFX, and I really loved that one. Played them both non-stop until I finished them. Finished them both in the end, though, and I thought the ending scenes were great.

Can't wait until FFXII comes out... Anyone know how long? *beg*

Supposed to come out in Japan next month and the Fall in U.S.

Unless they pushed it up. The game is pretty complete last I heard.
Soll2005-04-03 17:30:44
In the UK, the UK damnit, that's the important release date.
Unknown2005-04-03 17:37:34
Is it wrong that I laughed at that when I read it? ninja.gif

I don't know. It's hard to say until the U.S. date is solid, but um.. I don't see why you guys don't get similar dates to the U.S.

I'm going to play it safe and say Winter '05? Maybe earlier or later depending when the U.S. sees it. I'll look for something official though.

Wow, really? That's not bad. So I could get that for Xmas maybe. Hmm. happy.gif

Did I mention that the music in FFX-2 is the worst most annoying music you'll EVER hear?
Shiri2005-04-04 00:07:32
If you didn't, I'll...second that mention.

Wha??

YRP!! ninja.gif

Okay, I gotta stop playing FFX. Last night, there was a big storm with heavy rain and some thunder.. half woke me up. When I went back to sleep, I entered a FFX kinda battle against the rain.
I gotta say, Auron was bloody funny trying to slash at the rain drops. But it was a job best left to Rikku and Lulu.

You've now spliced Powerpuff Girls with FFX. ninja.gif

Something like that happened to me though. I had an awesome dream going on last night and the the freakin wind caused the tree outside of my window to knock against it in a loud thud. And and.. I RARELY dream and remember what's going on so it was a sad moment.

So how do you dream? /hijack

Now you make me want to play FFX or SOMETHING. I finally started playing GTA: San Andreas again, but I need a RPG. Maybe I'll restart Star Ocean 3 (I didn't beat it, but apparently Enix forgot to tell everyone that if you boost "Attack" and "Defense" stats that your characters randomly decide to run in circles in the corner of the battle screen).

Jalain2005-04-06 07:39:17
You lost me with that stat stuff at the end..
Jack2005-04-06 07:47:18
Damnit. Now I'm inspired to go play FFX, and I still haven't finished KotOR 2.

Pity the Jack. sad.gif
Jalain2005-04-06 07:52:22
I'd put the Jack out of it's misery if I were able.. Sorry.
Jack2005-04-06 07:53:37
Too weak and girlish, eh?

Don't worry. It's a common ailment. evil.gif

X-2 was not as good as X. X was the first recent final fantasy I played all the way through, in fact, may have been the first I managed to play all the way through at all.

However, X-2 was enjoyable as a one time thing, I certainly didn't go after the special ending despite wanting to. (In fact, I finished the game with 55% complete, I'd guess that might be one of the lowest possible completion ratings)

I am definitely looking forward to XII, partly because I've felt that recent RPGs have been a bit of a let down... not to say that they haven't been good, but none of them have been that absolutely spectacularly good that you can't fault.

For example: playing Xenosaga II. There are lots of things I love about it, but really, you can easily accuse it of being one long film that is very slightly interactive. Got to the second disc and felt like the game was still just starting out because the opportunities to interact had been so few. Still a good game, but not something I'm going to be ranting about liking a year or two from now.
Soll2005-04-06 11:55:43
I reckon I finished off FFX-2 with, like, 99.9% complete. ranting.gif I reckon I missed a few of the videos, which sucked, and as soon as I realised it was time for Yuna to dance and sing, and I couldn't get back to it. ranting.gif Very annoying. I got one of the two special endings, though, and I'm considering going for the other at 100%

Pleaaaaase don't mention Xenosaga. It's a disappointing series so far. They would've done better making it into an anime with all of the CG movies they do during the game.

Maybe Episode III will make it up. They're good with storyline, but I hear gameplay declined since the first (Waiting for the price to go down on the second. It's not worth $50. ninja.gif)

I had fun with FFX-2. I only borrowed it from a friend so I might so buy it (I kept his strategy guide. ninja.gif) on the weekend.

Everything about FFX was just amazing though. The Fayth dungeons, the music, um.. Blitzball owned! I kicked arse. Jecht Shot!

So um.. who's with me in building a time machine so we can go and get FF12 early? I need a game... sad.gif

For that quote you deserve to die. Xenosaga 1 = the hottsex. The sequel wasn't quite as good as the original was, but unless you are playing a Final Fantasy game, then you really shouldn't be expecting that kind of thing to happen.

Psh.

Xenogears > Xenosaga.

I understand that it's a series, but come on. I trashed the first in like 20-some hours. The story was amazing, the gameplay was good, but if they're going to start shelling out games that take less time than a Grand Theft Auto game then I don't know what to tell you. The amount of time they took to develop the game should've meant that it would be a better game than it was.

Plus Shion was annoying. ninja.gif

Final Fantasy games aren't the only games that come out good because of the time they put into it. Star Ocean, which was done by Enix before the merger, was good and lengthy from the first to the third. tongue.gif

Suikoden, aside from the 4th (Which I haven't played, but heard wasn't up to par), is a series like that too. It isn't terribly long like a Final Fantasy game, but for the length each game was it told a proper story and left room for more.

I liked Xenosaga, but they're not living up to Xenogears yet. It isn't worth spending $50 for. I'm glad my friend just gave me the first. They should've known that the game was going to expect a lot of hype and for them to half-arse it just because it's a linear series doesn't say much.
