Even from the forums?

Yeah, that event made no sense. How is it that 9 Vernal Gods banished Kethuru when he was at full power, but Estarra got her ass kicked by his weakened form?

Perhaps you underestimate the power of vernals or overestimate the power of Estarra. Recall that the Estarra persona is not the same as a Sarapis persona. The Estarra character is a much stronger than normal god, but not an almighty perfect Creator of All Things sort of god like Sarapis. Plus the vernals had time to prepare and research, whereas Estarra was caught off guard. Also, Estarra stopped fighting not because she was getting pwned, but because she was destroying the fabric of creation in the process of pwning Kethuru and didn't want to do that. So she changed gears and aimed for pushing Kethuru back to his hole rather than destroying him and taking everything else out with him.

Also remember, hundreds of vernal gods died to the Soulless before the 9 came about and figured how to do things. They were a very special 9

I keep SAYING that. But no one BELIEVES me. Y'hear that, Desdemona? HEAR THAT? 92360

Hear what? Maybe I should stop posting/talking on ct.
Estarra is Almighty. By what Roark said, I have the impression that She had the power to destroy Kethuru but realized that by doing so She would destroy everything else too.
Though, Roark's statement of Estarra not being a Creator of All, I wonder wherever the Dynara aspect of Estarra is? Dynara+Magnagora+Nameless=Estarra? If so, wouldn't She be able to create/destroy? I had this thought of Estarra being sort of a second embodiment of Yudhe. What does the Nameless represent? Yudhe's spirit? Is Yudhe the consciousness of Estarra? Who made humans?
Erm, pay no real attention. I am just wondering about some things and ended posting them.

If you know Achaean history well and can connect some dots, all of these questions would be answered...

The identity of the Nameless Son of Yudhe is pretty obvious, once you realise the basic facts and know what you're looking for. In my mind, there are two possible combinations for Dynara/Magnora, but I'm not really sure which is the right one, or if I'm even on the right path at all. I'd post my ideas, but that might ruin it for some.

Makes me wonder if Achaea is one of those worlds that surround Lusternia...
Aebrin2005-04-09 03:59:01
What would be cool is if these two muds linked...
Unknown2005-04-09 04:09:10
Bleh. Aetolia and Achaea already linked up, though after the initial event I don't think it was mentioned again on either side.
But Achaea and Lusternia would be more interesting..

Only if it was through an Arena type scenario with a max of 15-20 people from each MUD connected.

i can see it now, big FFA and we get smashed by choke teams, archery teams and cataclysm teams while we sit around looking silly
Unknown2005-04-09 05:15:55
After an initial round of choking, archery, and cataclysim deaths, they will be utterly destroyed by the almighty power of demenses, dreamwalking, bloody noses and crushed organs, and all kinds of other nasties. That they can't cure, since they don't know how, muahaha.
Unknown2005-04-09 05:59:23
Soo..
if Yudhe's Nameless Son = Unnamable Horror
and Dynara & Magnora = Entropy and Discord
then...
Eris = Estarra in more ways than one
And, if that is true.. we can't link.. because anyone from our side would become raging chaos demons.. and anyone from their side would just die a horrible death.. i think we get the better deal

Our knights would own Achaea's version though! Just as long as we can shrug their venoms and eat bloodroot to cure paralysis.
And we got the overpowered demesnes with blackout so hmm, it'd be fun.

Achaeans don't have cleanse enchantments. *hugs Sap*

They linked when Aetolia was created. It's not like there were any Aetolian players at that time.
And it wasn't mentioned again in Aetolia because nobody knew about it.
Frankly, I'd love to know the answers to all these mysteries Roark keeps hinting at. But I'm too lazy!

I actually posted what is probably the answer a couple posts above

I think you did. Though I really hadn't pictured Lusternia as being part of a multiverse. Though I guess an IRE multiverse is only reasonable.
By the way, I never really bothered to go very deep into Achaean history. But the story of the Unnamable Horror is one of the things I knew a bit about. Unnamable spawned humans, right?
Edit: Now that I think about it, Lusternia being part of a multiverse is ONLY understandable. It does link perfectly with the multiplanar travel and all.

Yeah, Unnamable Horror spawned humans, and Yudhe's Nameless Son lived on in Humans according to the histories.. so.. that matches up..
Entropy and Discord came from the same universe as the Unnamable Horror, through a tear in reality and were then dispersed throughout creation... Dynara and Magnora went through the tear in reality, and were changed so as to never return
Eris was formed by the merging of human and chaos... Estarra was formed by the combination of Yudhe's Son, Magnora, and Dynara..
So.. yeah.. that all matches up, pretty sure.
