Thank you Hajaboo and anyone else who worked on it! YES!
Vesar2005-04-02 05:42:53
Does this affect existing proofs, or just new ones?
Unknown2005-04-02 05:50:07
I don't get it... why the Yes'ing?
Unknown2005-04-02 05:51:33
Let me restate the question. What is proofing, and what is its function?
Erion2005-04-02 05:52:21
It adds elemental defenses. Like, against heat will lower an aquamancer's staff damage. Awesome, no?
It's for Great Robes, by the by.

Ok.. I agree with you all, thats the best announce I've heard yet!
Erion2005-04-02 06:13:51
Iunno, that one Est made earlier here on the forums made me giggle.
Hajamin2005-04-02 06:42:39
All proofs, regardless of when they were made should be working. I have two people that are just odd and it doesn't seem to work for them...
Vix2005-04-02 06:49:29
Psh. I'm not odd!

For coats in general actually -.- But horrah horrah.. now if some designing sense could get smacked into the TMs Id be perfectly dandy
: I consider robes "coats" in a fashion sense -.-
Erion2005-04-02 12:13:00
Pfft, who the heck uses regular coats?
Unknown2005-04-02 12:14:03
You celebrated to soon, after some thorough testing, they don't work!
It must have been April Fools! ARGH! Even though the announce post says April 2

Read this, Tuek.

It had to be April Fools, I say. I tested two different sets of proofing myself, as well as had Revan test his. It is certainly more then two people, therefore not an isolated incident, therefore we can safely say, it doesn't work.
Erion2005-04-02 12:19:49
Perhaps it's more than just two people - obviously, it's a player-by-player issue. I extremely doubt He went through and checked the code in every single p-file to come up with two players. Maybe he just said "Hmm, it's not working for at least two people, but it's working for all THESE people. We've got a problem!"
Unknown2005-04-02 12:22:17
Have you tested it? No.
I'd say it doesn't work for the majority, since those who have actually bothered to test it, have all returned negative results.

It does work... some items seem to interfere with it. I've spent all night trying to figure out why. So far I haven't found any reason why some items screw it up, and some don't... The original probelm was actually a fairly easy fix, but whats going on now might be beyond what we can change. Don't worry, I'll find away to fix it.
Lyren2005-04-03 00:31:47
Do you know what these items are, so we can avoid having them in situations where we need our proofs?
