Voting for Anonymous
Lyren2005-04-15 03:18:25
I'll throw my vote in for Anonymous as well.

What are peoples' reasons, out of curiosity? I'm really not sure who to vote for this round...

Mostly, I'm just consciously trying to look at those who it appears don't want to be looked at. Silence, on the forums, equates to invisibility. Invisibility means being overlooked and, in this game, being overlooked means it's more likely you'll stay around. So far as game roles that are most likely to want not to draw attention to themselves, those would be (in my opinion) Seer/Guardian or Soulless. Granted, there are surely various ideas of how best to avoid undue notice or suspicion, but one of them is certainly by remaining utterly or fairly silent. Another would be to draw too much attention and thereby divert suspicion in a roundabout way, but that'd be more risky ... as currently evidenced with suspicion against Shiri from talking so much, regardless of the apparent fact that such frequent talking seems to be typical of him in general, and so is in no way a deviation from character. Conversely, one could argue that if Shiri had deviated in character because of risk, that would be suspicious in and of itself, so it was a necessary risk. I hope you're seeing already that I'm potentially thinking too much about this and, in a way, almost defeating the purpose of thinking except that I've at least thought everything through before I almost just "go with my instincts."

Different people might work best different ways, though. Overthinking seems to work for me, so that's what I go with to find my answers.
Shoshana2005-04-15 15:09:17
Hmmm... Going on gut instinct I don't think Anonymous is a Soulless, but I have absolutely no real reason for that, I just can't believe that a Soulless would keep quiet even after we got rid of Etanru for being too quiet. I'm going to hang around a little longer to see what happens.
Annelia2005-04-15 15:28:28
Actually right now I think everyone has gone for Anon, so it doesn't matter if I vote or not tongue.gif
Shoshana2005-04-15 16:03:56
... That's actually very true. Except that that means that the Soulless are voting for him as well, unless you and him are the only Soulless left, which means that either he's an Elder or they don't think they have any chance of winning anyway.

I'll state again that I really don't think any Soulless would have stayed silent as a strategy after we started voting off people who stayed silent. I'm going to vote for Rauros, because I've thought there was something fishy about him for a while, in my mind there's certainly a greater chance of him being Soulless than Anonymous, and it won't be splitting the vote really because there's already a vote for him.

Anonymous - 6 (Shiri, Tsuki, Jalain, Kashim, Lyren, Annelia)
Shiri - 1 (Rauros)
Rauros - 1 (Shoshana)

Gathering around the circle of stones once more, all the Divine look around and search for any suspicious others. Many eyes land of the Anonymous Lord, God of all things Mysterious.

Screaming with defiance, a few tears fall from Anonymous' eyes as He is dragged, like many others, towards the circle of stones.

Acting quickly, the Gods summon strands of aether to subdue Anonymous, and He is left bound in the centre of the circle.

Dancing insanely, the Gods shoot the heads to the sky, and thrust their palms upwards, beckoning a large star down from the Firmament.

A shrieking sound announces the coming of a shooting star, which flares into life as it flies towards the form on Anonymous. Mere seconds later, the star collides with Anonymous' Divine body, and shatters His Essence into a thousand splinters, which are instantly banished.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Laughing crazily, five of the Gods step forward, and begin to mutter under Their breath. Their bodies warp insanely, and Their eyes glow red with power. Unravelling quickly, They alter Their forms into a liquid mass, before coalescing into one Divine Being, towering over the other four Gods.

Glinting with immense power, the towering Being chants and waves Its hands madly, and the other four Divine scream in agony as Their Essence beings to unravel under Soulless torment.

Weeping silently, the Divine curse to themselves, and remind Themselves to trust in themselves more, and vote with Their own reasons, than tag along with the other Gods, before Their essence is scattered through the realm.

laughing1.gif See, told you Anonymous wasn't Soulless *completely ignores the fact that she voted off Daganev & Nyla* quickexit.gif. I was incredibly suspicious of Shiri, but I believed Daga less sorrysign.gif
Summer2005-04-16 12:23:04
Heh grats Soulless. I guess guessing who 2 / 4 of you are ain't bad. On the plus side, now I won't have to hear Shiri say Lyren's too nice to be a Soulless anymore whistling.gif

pound.gif Soll for repeatedly switching the rules on us.

And pound.gif all you dummies who believed Shiri wasn't Soulless.

Anyone interested in yet another round of TSG?

I was enjoying roflmao.gif every day when you all went and voted with the Soulless. Best laughs I've had in a long time.
Shiri2005-04-16 13:00:39
biggrin.gif That was AWESOME. Sorry for trickin' ya there Shoshana and Annelia. whistling.gif

EDIT: By the way.

On the first night, Rauros didn't know he was a Soulless, since he missed the PM. That's why he was voting me. Every time after that he was just "staying in character." Pillock. tongue.gif
Tsuki2005-04-16 13:04:49
Oh, that was incredibly fun! And I've gotten to know Shiri, Kashim, and Lyren a bit from it. smile.gif

I was going to attempt writing an ending scene, but I didn't have time. Parts of it would've included the return of Jack as an honorary Soulless or pet for aiding us so nicely (if "posthumously") in eliminating Daganev (and then, by extension, Nyla). The narration of his death that was missed would've actually been a conversion, in that case. And for those of you who were left, there would've been the choice between joining us or ceasing to exist. biggrin.gif

So glad to see Dyr was a Seer. I'd been hoping we'd gotten someone special early on. And Anonymous a Guardian! *pats herself on the back*

I loved thinking about the possibilities, but I'll admit that after I pondered things to death, I deleted some parts that might've been too helpful before posting them. halo.gif

And can you imagine how anxious/hopeful we were getting these past few days/nights, seeing how close we were getting to winning? frenzy.gif

Great game, everyone!

Shiri2005-04-16 13:32:11
Yeah, it was well fun. I was pleased that even though everyone knew I was a Soulless we got Dags and Nyla anyway. biggrin.gif
