Yeah, it's a 1/4 if you count it from the beginning, but we're not counting from the beginning, and past coin throws can't affect present ones, so it's still 1/2 for the current coin throw. tongue.gif

I don't think there needs to be any discussion. It's still all random. I just don't want Summer getting killed, 'cause she's cool. tongue.gif

Voting against Silvanus

Even if I don't know what to talk about, talking is still good. Without talking, this'll all just stay random and we'll never have any ideas or get organized.

Organization = GOOD! biggrin.gif

Because of that, I'm voting Summer.
Shiri2005-04-03 23:45:54
You could at least have voted for me or something. Darn Silvanus.

EDIT: And I'm changing my vote to Silvanus now. happy.gif
Unknown2005-04-04 02:27:57
Why are you guys voting for Silvanus? He really hasn't shown reason to vote for him...

Summer, you were talking Gibberish/Hijack, and Silvanus told you to stop. You voted for him for a quite stupid reason. For blatently showing random aggression, I as well am going to vote for Summer.

Anyone have a reason I should not vote for her, or I should vote for someone else, send me a PM or post.
Unknown2005-04-04 02:29:20
I vote for Silvanus. He rubs me the wrong way, and I have no better way of choosing someone yet. Hopefully we can get some sort of Guardian/Seer stuff going, but I'm just a regular joe this time, again. Bleh.
Unknown2005-04-04 02:40:40
Hrm. Rubbing the wrong way isn't much of a reason to vote. I admit my reason wasn't much either, but it was more.

Guys, think about your vote. Every day in which you kill an elder gets the Soulless that much closer to winning.

You should. tongue.gif

And voting for a stupid reason is probably better than voting randomly for no reason at all. At least I have a reason rather than *cast random vote*

Considering that pretty much everyone never believes me when I say I'm a regular elder, I wonder what the believe rate would be like if I said:
1) I'm a Seer
2) I'm a Guardian
3) I'm a Soulless

I was so hoping for Soulless this round, but meh. Soll said newp. losewings.gif

Extending that idea, every day we don't vote away a potential Soulless, they're that much closer to winning, too. And, especially this early on, everyone is a potential Soulless.

We (as a group, not counting Seers) simply can't have any idea of who is what, except that Erion wasn't Soulless (and that even has a tiny margin for error). Assuming Erion was a normal Elder and both Seers picked different people to check on, we've got two separate people knowing what two other people are. Or, Erion was a normal Elder and both Seers could've picked the same person to check on. Or, Erion was a Seer, and the other Seer found out who one other person is. Or, Erion was a Seer, and the other Seer didn't (for whatever reason) check on anyone in the first night.

Out of all those, even the best case scenario isn't very enlightening. And unless the Seer(s) found someone useful to begin talking with privately, everyone's still fairly lost. A PM of "I'm a Seer, so I know you're an Elder" could easily be just a lucky guess, but one of "I'm a Seer, and I know you're a Guardian/Seer" is more likely to be truth. Perhaps someone more mathematically inclined can figure out the odds for each of those?

So Seers shouldn't really PM anyone unless they know the recipient is a Guardian/Seer, because it seems the smartest thing for Elders to do is ignore anything identifying them as an Elder, and an Elder can't much help the Seers yet anyway. Right?

That last part is pretty much my reasoning so far. If I've overlooked something in that, let me know and/or post about it!

If rules are the same as for the first game, the seers don't get told who's a Seer / Guardian. Just if they're Soulless or Elders. Don't even have to be a Seer to start gathering a group. It just depends on whether or not you can convince someone you believe is an Elder that you're actually an Elder and not Soulless.
Silvanus2005-04-04 05:00:07
If a Seer does contact you, I'd say you should reply (unless you are suspiscious), seeing as how, and you have the potentiality to screw them over, ally ou have to do is say on here "Soll is a seer." And if he doesn't die the next night, then he definitely is a Soulless (Exception of Guardian guarding them).

That's even more difficult than how hard I'd already thought it was. blink.gif

Unless the Soulless don't comply and kill someone else ... leaving the alleged Seer then as a suspect of being Soulless so that everyone is more likely to vote them away in the daytime. Why would a legitimate Elder expose a potential Seer, though? huh.gif
Silvanus2005-04-04 05:34:30
I hate this game.
Unknown2005-04-04 05:42:40
Well, what gave away the Soulless last round was voting for Eldanien, a supposed Guardian we trusted, as Summer was being guarded by him, he said, and they tried killing her in the night.

Unless we get another lucky scenario where the Soulless try voting off someone protected by a Guardian, we need to find some trickier way of organizing a known collective of people. I'm just a regular Elder, so a Seer can check me if they want, but that'd be a waste of time - Seers need to check potential Seers and Guardians (wait, ARE they told if someone is a Seer or Guardian?) to form a group of the known.
Unknown2005-04-04 05:43:50
Only other way is for one Guardian to remain known, and the other to remain unknown. Guardian who speaks up is guarded by the other, and a single Seer checks to make sure said Guardian is being truthful.

I don't know, this is all so complicated.

I'm voting for Jack. Utter bastard that he is.
Jalain2005-04-04 06:43:09
Voting for Silvanus because of his Cartman like "I hate this game"... I read it as, "Screw this game, I'm going home!"
Anywhere, there arn't going to be very good reasons to vote for anyone this early. We have to go with our gut.
