Badgers scare me
Summer2005-04-05 16:39:29
Maybe you don't know me as well as you think
No reasoning = random = 2 random votes. Which sensible Elder is gonna do that especially when they think someone else (first Silvanus, then Nyla) is suspicious? Why don't you just admit that you're Soulless? Then again, who said you were sensible?
I hope neither of us die so early into the game really. If you die, there'll be one less person to spam the thread with me and keep things fun

THis is what I see when I think of Shiri thus why he must be a soulless....
Shiri2005-04-05 16:45:40
Only I'm a LITTLE more mature than Shippou, and not as cool. And Summer, you misunderstood. By two random votes, I mean the two votes voting for me. Jalain was random, and Nyla didn't give any reasoning. Sheeesh.

QUOTE(Summer @ Apr 5 2005, 09:23 AM)
If I really were Soulless, would I be so obvious as to pick someone who voted against me when there are so many others to pick from? One would think that I'd go frame someone else instead.
True, except for the cliche of "it's so obvious, it'll never be believed." But still ... true. Thinking more on this isn't helping me do what else I need to do in the next few hours! But I will promise to continue to consider rather than locking in today's vote absolutely. I won't abstain, since I still stand by my earlier statement about needing to vote off potential Soulless.
Summer, even if you think death is coming, don't let that stop you from posting insights and wisdom ... especially if you are a normal Elder. I'm aiming to be thoughtful in the direction of having those thoughts remaining useful even if/when I get killed (notice I hope/assume I am being useful at all to begin with ). It's a group-win, not an individual-win, and the group's big enough to triumph even with a few casualties among the grunts (... why am I suddenly slightly depressed over my team spirit attitude? )! But anyway, I really have to be more concerned about not being killed, since that'd indicate I'm not a threat and thus not worth bothering with. Or that I'm Soulless and thus am not at risk for being targetted at night. Or that I gain suspicion of Soullessness (from not being killed at night), leading to being voted away by day without the Soulless having to waste a night targetting me when they can get someone else.

Besides, I'm not the one who picked a name at random after agreeing that Silvanus was suspicious.

Also true. And duly noted.
And I just spent almost 45 minutes thinking on this when I should've been working on my paper. Bad Tsuki!
Daganev2005-04-05 17:57:06
Since your all voting for summer, and summer is claiming to just be an elder, I'll stick to my old reasoning and Vote summer again.
3 days and no strategy... this isn't good for us.

Yeah, except at least some of you guys are believing it. So it proves the cliche isn't always right.
Oh I _am_ a regular elder and I'll keep posting speculations till I die, after which I'll come haunt you guys. How insightful / wise said speculations are is another matter But since so many of you think I'm Soulless, if I say something for / against someone, will it have the reverse effect? Plus there are some things I can't say.
Shiri2005-04-05 18:03:09
Hm. Isn't this the second day? Anyway. I'm not sure what kind of strategy you'd be suggesting, Daganev. Maybe I need to read the old thread again.
That's because they know you know the cliche and are using that knowledge to say you'd try and pre-empt things. But that just makes huge infinite cycles of pre-empting people. Sooo.

Voting for Daganev. The rest of them are voting for me because they think I'm Soulless (they're mistaken, but okay). You on the other hand, are voting for me because you think I'm an Elder?
The loopy logic is part of what makes it fun
Sounds to me like Daganev's proposed strategy is to sacrifice a regular Elder until it is clear who is Soulless.

Shiri2005-04-05 18:11:26
I thought Daganev's proposed strategy was because he didn't have any clear Soulless targets, and you're not claiming to be a Seer or Guardian (in which case he'd want to keep you.) And you already have votes, so it'd be pointless (AND suspicious looking) to vote away from you.
Summer2005-04-05 18:15:05
Yeah. I.e. Kill off Summer who is a self-proclaimed regular elder to avoid the risk killing off a Guardian / Seer in case the one they think is Soulless is actually a Guardian / Seer.
So which regular elder wants to volunteer to be killed off after me?
*pokes Soll* I want white roses / carnations okay?

Well, propose one? I'm clueless.
I'm starting to think that Soulless are just going to stay completely quiet, so they don't risk being targetted.
Therefore, I'm voting for Shoshana, I think she didn't post at all. If I'm wrong and she did, correct me please.
Shiri2005-04-05 18:21:23
...yes, well, I don't know, it sounds like it. Daganev, come outline your strategy better!
(Ew, you want white roses? Meh. Go blue roses! And violets! So soft. )

You can ask Soll for blue flowery stuff when it's your turn to die.
Daganev2005-04-05 18:28:30
This is only the second time I've ever played this game, but what Eldandine did last time seemed to work.
My only strategy at this point is not kill the people who can identify the Soulless. (unless they are soulless ofcourse)

Summer2005-04-05 18:29:51
He almost got killed by the other guardian instead of protected. Was just pure luck and extra lucky timing that things turned out the way they did. And despite all the plans suggested, none of them were followed.

Shoshana posted, in voting away Silvanus. Etanru hasn't spoken yet, though, I don't think.
I finished my paper and will be going into class in about 5 minutes, so I don't have time to find which page Shoshana's post is on. I think she said something about everything going fairly fast, which I'm sympathizing with after even just how much has gone on in the past few hours.
But I think everyone other than Etanru has posted at least once. Some might have only posted once, if I'm remembering correctly without reviewing the entire thread again.
Yep, class time. And, since I woke up at midnight, I think I'll be exhausted and falling asleep when I get back home after class at 9 PM. Don't go so far ahead that I'll be lost when I get back!
Oh, and so far as funeral flowers ... periwinkles! Like the flower in my signature!
Unknown2005-04-05 21:37:50
*sigh
- Shoshana
Voting for Etanru
For not posting! (Not like it will change anything looking at votes. And Shiri made me feel guilty of voting for Summer, now he votes for her himself! )
