On a bad day I make 10K from astral.

I'd say quests are the next best. Assuming no one else is doing them.

... 10K? On a bad day? Good gods.

Why the hell did I choose faeling - missing out on the best experience gain AND best income.

I used to easily make 3k an hour on Astral.

Then I realised its better to buy/resell credits happy.gif.

see so spending a day to get 1k herbs (take note with people underselling most herbs are way below 10 per) it's actually more expensive(in the sense that you're losing the opportunity to make more gold and do other things) than if he spent 2 mins to go to the comm shop and buy materials then go cook for another 5 mins drop all the things in a shop then go up and bash astral even on a bad day. Not counting planting. Though i abhor the idea of another Oakstone i dont know whats worse compared to the alarming rate of people underselling.

NOTE: Personally, i dont mind how it is now. Whats a concern though is a lot of people get discouraged with herbalism because they dont get as much gold especially with the work they do for it. If you take into account the raising credit prices it becomes even more frustrating for them. Us herbalists who were here in the earlier periods had it good but its changed for the newer herbalists as the trades have been left behind by the inflation in seperate sectors. Its true for a lot of other trades though... the economic system of Lusternia is pretty chaotic at the moment and the viable trades are just not cutting it. People need business rules to go by if you dont want to kill trades.

For a lot of us, that's kind of like saying the best way to make money is to find a big pile of it lying on the highway, assuming someone has left one there. There've been three big quests I've tried -- not for money or honors lines or karma or events posts, but as part of character development. Two I've been driven away from by people who wanted money or honors lines or the like; the third I was told to stop working on by the admins as it was a bit buggy. Quests are great for people who can afford to do nothing else for a few hours or days straight, but almost useless for anyone who has a character with motivations and who has duties.

I did that on Imperian.. found 100k in the middle of a bashing area, and I was the only person there. ninja.gif
