Work towards your IC goals without regard to what you assume through game mechanics and ooc knowledge.

=\\ We need to get the 12 shards of the Seal. Just gotta figure how to get 'em outta Vira.
Desdemona2005-04-04 01:55:43
Two ways we could do that: We force Her to throw those things up, or a mortal is shrinked and enters Her mouth to retrieve the fragments. laugh.gif

Selthar was trying to use the alembic to purify and make more potent some botulinum, but you can't put an octopus into the alembic. (Which puts the kibosh on the plans for the anorexia poison, incidentally.) If it had worked, we were going to try putting some into some food and tricking Her into eating it. Some part of me was thinking, I can't believe we're thinking of a plan to try to poison a Goddess into vomiting up parts of one of the Seals....

Shrinking a person... should probably start with a faeling to save diminish enchantment charges. What a fantastic voyage that'd be. (Well, it's not that fantastic when the Ebonglom Wyrm does that.)

I like sending Moralis to hug Her. Who's with me?
Unknown2005-04-04 02:08:15
Send Arix with his prophecies of impending doom and the evil door of the Moonhart Mother Tree. I'm sure that will do something.
Unknown2005-04-04 04:53:44
From the sound of it though, some of the fragments came out with the tentacles.. Estarra told us what to do with them when we found them, and Lacostian said to use all of our senses to find them... why would we get that information if they weren't there to be found except inside Viravain?
Elgar2005-04-04 07:17:36
I thought from the meeting they where on astral...
Manjanaia2005-04-04 11:04:22
A small mortal? Isn't it Laysus with 1 size? Send him!
Manjanaia2005-04-04 11:05:18
Oh and you missed the option, 'You missed it because you're a spoon like Manjanaia'.

So did everyone. I was the first one in Serenwilde to read post 353, and these people were like "Okay now I'm going to look on Water!" (Uh, guys, didn't she eat them?) "Well it's not here now I'm going to go look in the blasted lands!" (Guys? Guys, she ate them. New public post.) "They might be inside the Glomdoring creatures!" (...)

Hrm. Intriguing poll results. It would appear I'm one of the odd men out. Guess I'm just nuts evil.gif
Shiri2005-04-04 18:55:12
You may well be nuts, but your problem here wasn't that, it was that you were too hasty. We had actually been given purposes by the time most people got around to actually voting in the poll, you just rushed it a bit.

I don't know that we really have that much of a purpose now, although I did figure out why I'm not enjoying this event as much as others. My RP background is mostly online versions of tabletop.. I.e. GM'd adventures in a chatroom. So I'm used to a more structured, action-packed pace. There's no real hanging in limbo in those types of environments, hence why I don't care too much for some of the stuff lately.

If I could completely alter what I was used to and enjoyed, then I could definately get into this event. As it is, however, I can see how many people are having a lot of fun with this, even if I'm not one of them smile.gif

Now there I have to agree with you. My previous MUD experience was practically nil. A lot of this befuddles me.
Shiri2005-04-04 23:00:48
Hm, alright. Our purpose has become "drain the astral nodes to find those shards", though, I think. I guess you're right though, or you know best about your own experiences, anyway, so I'll leave it alone. happy.gif
Singollo2005-04-04 23:48:14
All of the dying is just like "Bleh, ok enough of this."

Its really discouraging to just die and die, especially when its almost in a state of limbo. For some reason I kept drawing aggro on the tentacles, and the whole "Let's deathtouch the entire world" thing was fun after the first go round, but 3 was a bit excessive.

So how about becoming a novice Serenguard right before a major event where you're going to get damaged a lot? Swell idea, wasn't it?

Hopefully they'll wrap up the whole "DOOM BITCH" part of the event in a day or two instead of pulling an Achaea and making it last two months, especially if our actions are inconsequential, which it appears they are (Yeah, like Lusternia is going to get devoured before its a year old).

Where the HELL is everyone getting this "drain the nodea11elvenityone11111" thing? I mean, it's kind of obvious, I guess. The nodes don't drain, and the mobs are harder. But, meh! I don't know.

Twitchy is all.
Daganev2005-04-05 00:00:44
12 shards 12 nodes?
