Ooh right. I can't think how the way of sealing Him will be any different to this time, though...and as He's the worst of the Soulless, it won't be so bad to get rid of the others.
I guess that's true though.

Xenthos2005-04-06 18:15:03
Note that this is him with only one seal broken, too... he is nowhere near his full power. Just a link into Viravain's body.
Shiri2005-04-06 18:22:39
True.
Okay, fine, it'll be okay next time.
But like, the time after that. Nyeh.

I think we have to hope that next time he doesn't manage to free some of the other Soulless.

There are no other Soulless anymore.
Shiri2005-04-06 18:45:31
Yes there are. Like, that one frozen in the ice, name begins with an I, reminds me of Leviathan somehow.
And, uhm, that other one. There're a few.

Desdemona2005-04-06 19:38:11
Weren't the Soulless trapped within the land and the healed of? I think the Soulless should be pretty dead by now, if not in an extremely weakened state of suspended animation... or a la Prometheus, bounded.

Yeah, you're right. There's a few others, but most of them were destroyed.
Shiri2005-04-06 19:40:32
They're trapped, yes, but so's Kethuru. I wouldn't say there's a whole lot of difference there.
EDIT: Ninja'd. Visaeris: Right, and it was the strongest ones that were sealed rather than pwnt, so we can assume they're potentially a threat!

Bricriu2005-04-06 19:48:04
Technically...isn't Viravain just possessed? This isn't the 'real' kethuru, right?
Shiri2005-04-06 19:56:01
I dunno. It's not JUST possession, because otherwise Estarra would be a lot stronger than Viravain, and crush her into a cube if she tried to pull anything. But as Viravain is now going psycho and turning villages into masses of tentacles and fighting Estarra and NOT LOSING so to speak, I have a feeling that it's more likely to be 1/9th of Kethuru's full strength, or at least a portion, rather than just a simple possession.
Unless your definition of "possession" is different to mine, which wouldn't allow any more power than the possessed body has.

Random Theorizing Ahead:
I had a thought while Falasin was off adding layers to the Gaudiguch statue. The Elder Gods need to empower the Seal, supposedly this should take an enormous ammount of power/enery. If this is true wouldn't it be possible to place the Seal in the statue, assuming the laws of physics don't get in the way, and have it act as if it were the Hand? They're both powerful magical artifacts so I'm theorizing that it would work in much the same way, sapping the energy, but it might not result in a node, considering that the Seal is a result of a complete sacrifice of a Vernal God, not just the body part of one, and as such able to take the ammounts of power being poured into it.. The power wouldn't be an issue since the intertwined power in the Eternal Flame and in the Matrix is enough to raise two Vernal Gods (unless of course we're much further ahead in draining their power than we think).
Feel free to shoot this down in any way shape or form you see fit.
EDIT: Forgot a closing )

This is, of course, assuming this is the right kind of power.
Faethan2005-04-06 20:40:32
Yeah, and then it should bring back Gaudiguch and Hallifax instead of making the Glomdoring commune, just to piss off all the DoC's.
Shamarah2005-04-06 20:48:57
Ooh. I want to see Muud come back from that pit. He can like, roll around and crush entire villages!
Falasin2005-04-06 20:49:12
Exactly.
EDIT: Ninjaed....

Falasin2005-04-06 21:05:46
But seriously, I know that the Divine most likely already have what's going to happen worked out already, but isn't this plausible, and, in the end, won't it be alot more simple?
Daganev2005-04-06 21:08:27
the mugwumps left nature to head to cities...
Desdemona2005-04-06 21:11:11
Why can't they migrate again? An event could be done that mugwumps migrate elsewhere.
Shiri2005-04-06 21:11:22
And it'd be highly arbitrary for them to be a Glomdoring specialisation race rather than Elfen/Viscanti.
Desdemona2005-04-06 21:17:30
Anything would be better than give Viscanti/Elfen another specialization to dominate another place. I think it would be best if mugwumps did become the race for Glomdoring, or another darker race were released (Rowena's love children with Brennan=Macabre Elfen).
