The alliance between the two groups ever to have released the Soulless in recent history, Celest, and Serenwilde, is hitherforth known as the "Soulless Alliance".

We released him? News to me. Here I was thinking it was two gods that were responsible.
Arilyon2005-04-04 06:56:07
Well it took Divine power to do it, but if I recall correctly, Magnagora was constantly saying GET AWAY FROM THE TREE and Serenwilde was like NO IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE TAINTED. WE SHALL CLEANSE IT *urge Viravain* I suppose the story is always told differently depending on which pair of rose coloured glasses you're looking at it through.
Elgar2005-04-04 06:58:48
If anything it was Raezon's faulth. He wanted Viravain to release Kethuru, though now that he can't control him he has joined the other gods to stop her.
Viravain was just to trusting in that blight of a god
also i got away with 2 direct insults to Raezon ingame today. I'm pleased

Raezon didn't want to release Kethuru. Nobody wanted to release Kethuru. Guido, maybe.. But, yeah.
I think Raezon's intent was to somehow Taint Viravain. But it's all went horribly wrong..
AND FUN!

Yes it's fun, good story i applaud the ones responsible for the plot. Icly i still hate Raezon. He is the root of all evil that is currently in the basin.
you can't zap me for remarks here right?

I'd say Serenwilde HELPING and URGING Viravain to continue affected things more then Raezon telling her to steal a seal did, even if that was what tipped it over the edge. The seal would never have been broken if Serenwilde hadn't agreed with Viravain, giving her a strong reason and backing to continue
Ialie2005-04-04 07:05:00
Oh.. I thought the posts specifically point out that Had Viravain done it the way Estarra had said that it would not have gone wrong.
Elgar2005-04-04 07:06:17
But without Raezon's knowledge she wouldn't of known how to use the seal, and thus couldn't of harmed it. She would have tried the longer and more tiring way with just Serenwilde's (and btw also Celest's) pushing.
darn there is a moral lesson in this isn't there

Richter2005-04-04 07:09:08
The only person that wanted to release the soulless was Guido, with Richter occasionally thinking it looked like fun.
Revan2005-04-04 07:10:02
Yea: Stop pushing the Gods!!
Akraasiel2005-04-04 07:10:31
Still, I see the dark forest, and Mag, holding this against Serenwilde for a loooong time ICly.
Its great propaganda. heh.
We arent evil. Celest and Seren are the ones who have released the soulless in the past, not us!

Blaming Raezon is like blaming the Gun show for Columbine.
Ialie2005-04-04 07:28:06
Well if the guns whispered in those kids ears how best to be popular by killing a lot of people then yeah. it would be exactly like that.
Marsu2005-04-04 07:41:54
What possible reason would there of been for Serenwilde not to cheer Viravain on?
Serenwilde wishes the return of Gloriana rather than Glomdoring. They wouldn't just cheer for that, they would skip and sing for it too. Damn treehuggers.
I knew it was going to screw up right from the seal being brought in. I even said to someone 'well this is a great build for it all to screw up'

As I said in another thread, if Serenwilde had learned from the mistakes of cities in the past, the constant warnings of greed on the part of serenwilders should have clued them in that maybe changing the nature of a forest isn't such a good idea.
You know, like if they were less blinded by the light, and followed Auseklis more, and saw that Kethuru is what the problem is, not residual taint.

the words Seal and Raezon in the same sentence made us all go like, oh great we are screwed, really should leave this place and pray for the best. I think this is also when Lisaera muttered something.
As soon as Lisaera took her staff we where all like shit should of gone when i had the chance.
or anyway that where the sentiments in the people i was exchanging tells with

How is it greed to want something pure and beautiful rather than a stinky and damn ugly twisted forest?
Daganev2005-04-04 07:50:19
Because aesetics should not be what dictates the need for change. The Glomdoring was full of life that could not exist elsewhere, trying to make everything look like serenwilde is looking at things in a narrow greedy mindset.
Plenty of magnagorans kept on saying how they prefer the looks of darker trees, and how the thornbeasts have a place in the world also.
Daganev's history depends on the existance of thornbeasts and black widows, and he was very hurt by the idea that they will no longer ever exist again.

Edit: Way too bitter.
