Better analogy: Youre encouraging a meth chemist, said meth chemist keeps a good lab, and you like what they put out. Another chemist comes along and says, try this, itll let you make more, faster. Lab blows up screwing everyone.

Who is to blame? The chemist? The second Chemist? The ones encouraging said chemist?

Yeah, Akraasiel's analogy's better than mine, use his. tongue.gif

I really don't think Raezon realized Kethuru would be able to force His conciousness through the opening. Perhaps He thought, "Hey, this upstart Viravain is messing with things She should not be. And, if we break a seal, perhaps Kethuru's power will seep through, but since it's only ONE seal, I can use it!"

It wasn't like "Hell yes, here we go. We'll break this seal, then this seal, then this seal, and then steal all of Kethuru's knowledge and WEEEE! *snort pixie stick*".

Remember, the path to Nil are paved in good intentions. The Serens and Viravain may have MEANT well, but in the end, Viravain screwed up. Just because the gun is sitting on the dresser doesn't mean you need to kill anyone.

It's not Magnagora's fault either, it's Raezon's, pure and simple. I think even He would admit it. Only people whose heads are too far up their agendas could possibly conclude otherwise. That's the part where Magnagora comes in.

I was only being half serious with that. I was poking fun at the idiocy that Ak and Daganev were posting.
Shiri2005-04-04 14:01:17
We're not seriously blaming Magnagora, no. It's just that if any organisation has to be blamed, it sure as hell ain't ours, and hey, Raezon IS a Magnagoran, sooo. rolleyes.gif

Hey, YOU were the ones saying "WEE UNTAINT GLOMDORING!"

And Viravain didn't want to disapoint. So instead of saying "yo, dad, I'm gay." she just went and tried to act straight, which ended up with her being possessed by Kethuru. o.O

Moral of the story, don't be right-wing oppressors! Encourage your kiddies!

Just not with priests. >.>

(Yes, I'm still a weeeeee bit drunk.)
Shiri2005-04-04 14:08:14
...I didn't really follow that. Viravain was doing the Gloriana cleansing of her own accord, we were just like "yeah, that's great, don't stop now."
Erion2005-04-04 14:09:38
Pfft - Gwylifar says that's not true, that a group of Serens were encouraging it.

And as I've learned in the past, the Serens view the act of individuals, or a group of individuals, as the actions of a city. Sooo.
Shiri2005-04-04 14:11:59
Well, from what YOU said, Viravain was doing it because she wanted to have Raven back because Crow "wasn't her baby anymore" (that being the expression I believe you used.)
Erion2005-04-04 14:20:26
Yep! happy.gif Shh, don't point that stuff out. I LIKE blaming the Seren, but, thank you! happy.gif Have you seen our pretty tree?! biggrin.gif

My analogy... there is a charity organization, its sole purpose is to get food and clothing to the homeless and poor, those who need help. One of the workers is on the front line, viewing all of these suffering people, attempting to help them- she receives encouragement from her friends, and support, but apparently it is not enough. She wants to do more, she can't stand seeing so many. And someone starts whispering in her ear. "Look at them... hey, I know of this food, I can help you steal it... just THINK of how much it would help them all!" Of course, it is conveniently left out just what exactly this food is...

So she goes through with the plan after a bit of that, and joyously proceeds to feed all the poor. Hooray, happy days! Until they all begin to drop dead from poisons contained within.

Who is at fault? Her? The friends who encouraged her in her original act? The person who misled her?
Akraasiel2005-04-04 14:26:05
The meth analogy was more accurate.
Xenthos2005-04-04 14:30:27
Not at all. The forest was attempting to be restored, cleansed, aided... there was no "meth" involved.
Shiri2005-04-04 14:31:51
Yeah well, they both display the point accurately.
Singollo2005-04-04 14:50:26
The intelligence of Magnagorans/Mhaldorians never ceases to stop falling.

Yeah, that's right, I said it.

If you're going to make a connect between Serenwilde and this, there is no way you can't blame one of the divine who support Magnagoran, since he convinced Viravain to do it his way, instead of Estarra's way.
Shiri2005-04-04 15:01:00
Easy, Singollo. :/ It's only been like two of them arguing that, or so.

I distinctly warned Her on previous occassions not to listen to a word Raezon said to Her, and I also repeatedly told Her to make sure She knew what she was doing. We weren't encouraging her to go supernova. She started it, we thought it was a cool thing, and a lot of us warned Her about being careful, She just didn't listen.

I blame Guido, his suiciding unbalanced the whole thing. Guido bork Lusternia!!!
Unknown2005-04-04 15:44:23
It was Serenwilders, Viravain's, Raezon's, Lisaera's fault.
Maybe even few others.
Hey, maybe it was everyone's fault, how does that sound? laugh.gif

Seriously, Raezon's the most, but not only.
Akraasiel2005-04-04 15:48:56
Serenwilders are the only mortals culpable for this. Divinities dont count, so you get to be the Kethuru Debacle scapgoat! Yay!
Shiri2005-04-04 15:50:47
...swear2.gif We're still not culpable for this, no matter how many times you say it.
