No, we didn't know a risk.

And yes we would have been giggly if it had worked. But that DOESN'T mean we could have, or would have, taken credit for it. It still woulda been Viravain's doing, whether we liked it or not. And so it is.
Erion2005-04-04 20:59:00
Sounds like the Seren. My point was, had the seal not broken, and the gloriana cleansed, you wouldn't complain.

Admit it!
Xenthos2005-04-04 20:59:23
So we're supposed to be able to read Raezon's mind, and know he is talking about using a seal? Neat, I always wanted to be able to tell what the Gods were doing at any given moment. rolleyes.gif

The Seren didn't say "untaint it room by room" or "don't use a seal" or "use a seal" - they said untaint it.  That means "by any means necessary" is implied.

No, the implication was "carry on doing exactly what you are now, which is untainting it, 'cause that's fine."

We didn't even CONSIDER using a seal, let alone advocate it.
Erion2005-04-04 21:00:23
And we're supposed to stop ours? happy.gif It's you idiots that sent Viravain to cleanse the Gloriana. Despite Erion's pleading with Raezon to help him devise a way to stop Her, I doubt that had much bearing on Raezon so KINDLY giving Viravain a bit of advice.
Unknown2005-04-04 21:00:31
Viravain's naivety and ignorance, Serenwilde's greed and Raezon's wickedness are all to blame.
Shiri2005-04-04 21:00:34
No, we wouldn't complain, but as I say we wouldn't be able to take credit either. We're not COMPLAINING at Viravain as such, on an OOC level, but the blame/praise/whatever you might attribute to it lies squarely with her and Raezon no matter how you look at it.

It has been said that Alyssandra did know that she(Vira) planned to use the Seal to restore the Ravenwood and Gloriana.

It is Ladantine's doing for Project Cosmic Hope, but everywhere in the histories and the players to this day seeing it as the Holy Celestine's doing. An IC prespective, you can see its not Viravains, but from OOC perspective you have to admit that it is Viravain, Lisaera, Serenwilde, and Raezon's doing.

We were never informed of Her intent to use the Seal. If we were we would have disuaded Her. In fact when She brought the idea to us of de-tainting the Master Ravenwood, several of us were leary and urged caution. Viravain carried on anyway.

"Urging caution" is like saying "We told her not to sleep in the sheets she pissed in. It's not our fault she didn't change them. She's three days old. She can do it."

Urged caution, not to stop it. Those who urged caution are now named Rowena, for they are doing thee xact same thing Rowena did.

Well, I don't know who said that, but even if it IS true, which I doubt, the rest of us didn't know.
So no, OOC we don't have to admit it's Serenwilde's doing. 'CAUSE IT ISN'T.

Association by duplicity.
Silvanus2005-04-04 21:05:31
Viravain did not try to deTaint the Ravenwood, she tried to bring it back to life, because it died before it was Tainted, when Mother Night shot lightning at it to save it from the Taint.

Greed. Cleansing of the Glomdoring isn't self-preservation. Stopping a commune may be, but not the revival of the Gloriana commune. That's greed.

Self-preservation is eating nothing more than you need to live. Anything beyond that is over-indulgance.
Unknown2005-04-04 21:06:58
I like how you were all for detainting and were urging Viravain "do it, do it", and now when it went totally wrong, you're like whistling and saying "nope, that's not us...".
You are partially responsible for that, face it.
Erion2005-04-04 21:07:17
