*eyes you suspiciously* I bet you do wish you had one of those lucid dreams if you only dream bout me.
And yup, theres only been one or two times Ive had a dream where Im -not- in control of its direction -.- Kinda makes me feel like a director...

I like my non lucid dreams the best, I actually learn someting about myself from them.
But maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks do I actually have a dream I don't or can't control.
Although the Strangest dream I ever had was when I got stabbed in the neck, and I could feel the blood rush out of my body, and when I tried to pull the knife from me and throw th othe knife I had back at the person who stabbed, I felt the blood fall out of my arm and and my muscles not work, and then I felt myself die. And I don't mean third person perspective, I mean I actually felt all that. Like more real than any other dream I've ever had.

You have those too? I'm frequently attacked in dreams that I don't remember. I'll just be sleeping to my knowledge and the stinging pain will fill me. Happens all too often. Maybe it's my subconscious wanting something REAL besides sitting here all day?
I'm trying, you stupid um.. me!
Maybe that's another reason why I don't have vivid dreams that I remember.
I'm wondering what Richter would dream about if he were in control. Just to tease I'm going to say Him + crown + golden throne + servant girls.

I don't often remember my dreams, but something that does happen often is that I'll dream of slipping on ice, and my legs will slide as if slipping, and then I'll wake up, having noticed my leg movements.
Xenthos2005-04-08 01:47:26
The dreams I can remember (ones usually early morning after a full night's sleep, so coming out of the deep stages) are somewhat interesting... I know they're a dream, but I just go along with them. If something happens I don't like, or I want to see something different... I just sorta wrench control over it and "rewind" a few moments, going a different path. It's odd.
Unknown2005-04-08 08:02:48
speaking of dreams.. I had a bogus one the other day that ended up in me getting burnt in the naval by something and throwing a bowl at my mom... I need to stop eating fruitloops before bed >.<

Not with ice, but yeah. My dog does that, heh. I think she's hunting rabbits or something.

The weirdest nightmare I used to have was based on a book I got read at school. For some reason it was about this herd of horses that flew around the sky and took children that were awake after bedtime to someplace.
Well, for a good.. three years after that I had a nightmare that the stallion of the herd would fly through my window (open or closed) and try and take me away. I, of course, fought as hard as I could and kicked at the horse as it tried to bite my feet and drag me away Messed up eh?
Oh and, apparently, Gwynn used to always dream of me killing him. My personal favourite one was that I'd invited him over for dinner/lunch and he came over and sat at the table then, suddenly, a shark launched up out of the floor (which, as he didn't know, was water which could only have its surface broken from underneat) and tried to eat him. I was standing on the table pointing and laughing at him as sharks tried to launch out of the water and eat him.
Oh, and another we were having a fight and I pushed him off the balcony at the back of my house. He fell a good 3m and cracked his head open and he distinctly remembers me walking down the stares, looking at him, looking at his blood and saying "I can't be bothered waiting for you to die. You're bleeding all over my tiles!"
Now, as often as these dreams came up, we decided to see what they could mean and apparently dreaming of someone killing you means a change in life coming that the person is involved in.
Weird. I wonder if the water meant anything.. didn't Freud have some weirdo sex-thing about water dreams?

I love dreaming, even nightmares. I don't remember nearly enough of them. Always very interesting. I have managed to have a few lucid dreams, its definatly very fun. The only thing I can't overcome is this fear that the dreams would be real and that my actions would actually have consequences, so I couldn't enjoy the lucid dreaming to their full potential, but very cool experience anyways.

Of all the dreams I've had, I can only remember bits and pieces. I guess that means I've had a good sleep, but I feel like some of the even better sleeps I've had was when I had good dreams.
...one of my most memorable dreams back when I was a wee lad was opening our refrigerator door for a midnight snack. (So yeah. It was kinda dark.) Ripped open a pack of Gummi Worms and ate one... looked around in the fridge for a bit longer, then I looked at the pack again. It was empty. I looked around the area... and the Gummi Worms were crawling all over the place. Very odd dream. I think I remember screaming like a little boy then... but I was a little boy then.

*sniffle* Wish I could lucid dream... I tend to have really realistic dreams, about stuff that could actually happen so I don't realise it's a dream until I wake up, and even then sometimes I have trouble remembering if something actually happened or if I dreamed it . I read a thing on www.everything2.com about lucid dreaming, which said that two good ways to figure out if you're in a dream are to look at your hands, which for most people start to melt if they're in a dream or to read something and then read it again and usually it'll say something different in a dream. Of course, it has to occur to you to check this first...

I always know if I'm in a dream or not because either I can't get to where I want to go, or I get there with no effor.
