So a village just got uninflucned by viravain.
some people mentioned that they think all the villages will get unfinluenced.
I imagine this is happening because the new orgnization that comes out of this will need to get some villages for themselves...
Is this really the best way to do that? will the new community even be able to get enough people who know how to influence properly without being attacked by all the other communities who will make agreements on how to divide the world without the new group being there?
I think its a good idea and a bad idea... any other theories out there?

Well, I'm going to assume the Glomdoring's coming, as it's a small chance now for the Gloriana.
It's good and bad - I think it's stopping now, as Angkrag, Rockholm, and Southgard were not attacked, all three underground and all three mining villages.
I think Mag'll help the Glomdoring's 2-3 people who can influence take a village or two, in hopes of making at least a non-enemy.

I thought you said they really didn't like you and Visaeris and so the Commune wouldn't like them, or something.
EDIT: Spoke too soon. There goes SG - oh wait, I think Terentia's saving them. There we go.

It doesn't mean they won't try, or a fledgling commune won't say, "Fine, help us." and we won't be all "zomg no alchemy 4 u".
Richter2005-04-06 21:32:18
You'll just need to cf tanky people. All will be well.
Shiri2005-04-06 21:33:18
You only GET one CF a month. And I don't think it raises someone to CR2 first shot, though I might be wrong.
Erion2005-04-06 21:41:11
GMs and the city patron can CF the same person, 2 cfs, maybe 3, will get someone to cr2.

The villages that she made revolt can't be influenced right now. It is possible they will be out of play until Glomdoring/Gloriana gets on it's feet. ::shrugs:: Guess we'll just have to wait and find out
Laysus2005-04-06 21:57:57
notice how Hart's quite possibly going to be conveniently dead for the start of Glom? Almost certainly the flame of Glinshari will be down.
Erion2005-04-06 22:12:02
Iunno, I say "Thank you!". It keeps us from having to raid the Seren or have people screw with your quest just to let us raise our own Great Spirit. =\\
Desdemona2005-04-06 22:18:17
Um, but wouldn't that be making things too easy for Glomdoring? Five villages uninfluenced, Hart down, what else?
Shiri2005-04-06 22:20:09
Not really, Desdemona. They're going to have like 6 odd able-bodied people to begin with, at max.
Erion2005-04-06 22:21:09
Yea. And I really hope anyone jumping ship from cities/seren don't get any serious positions of power.
Desdemona2005-04-06 22:21:18
And Magnagora. Despite what has been said on this forums, ig imo everything shows that things are set for a Mag-Glom alliance... Even it it can be temporal.
Unknown2005-04-06 22:24:13
I'm 99% sure this is the set up for Glomdoring. The other 1% is wondering if it will be neither Glomdoring nor Gloriana but some other strange twist on the both of them. The Admins have been good at throwing curve balls so far so I won't be too suprised if they toss a change-up.
Erion2005-04-06 22:24:26
Yea. Magnagora will most likely help the Glomdoring, mainly because they're saying, "Look, taint. Help. Forestals. Refills. We're good."
Although if I have a say, we'll set a refill pricelist minimum, and not be kind to anyone not of the commune. >.> <.<

Desdemona2005-04-06 22:29:34
Yes, but that say could also be temporal. Whatever happens, just make sure you (Glomdoring) divorce Magnagora soon, and build a grudge. Taint v. Untaint doesn't sound very appealing.

It's what the whole game is about.

I think it would dissatisfy way too many people if it turned out to be neither for them to want to try that. They are good at surprises, but I don't think they WANT to do surprises that'll pee everyone off.
Daganev2005-04-06 22:40:23
As long as its dark and evil and a commune that can do refills I think everyone will be happy.
