Eh, true. I still think it's Glomdoring, but eh. tongue.gif

The new avatar and sig ROCKS by the way Dags. (Except the pink.)

EDIT: I can see Desdemona posting, so I'm going to ninja: NO, NO SKARCH COLLECTIVE. THE CACTUS WAS A DARN JOKE.

I've always thought it was multiple types of conflict. Taint v. Untaint, City v. Nature, Crow v. Hart, Logic (Hallifax) v. Emotion (Glomdoring). At least, to my experience, the Taint v. Untainted conflict was limited to Celest-Magnagora, until fairly recently.

Then what would you classify Serenwilde vs Glomdoring. I'm fairly certan that is Taint vs Untaint.
Unknown2005-04-06 22:47:55
But it is a newer, bolder, more IN YOUR FACE taint than before, like the Glomdorito-Cooler Ranch title from Erions Av., "Now with 100% more ranch and taint action!"... Perhaps...
Erion2005-04-06 22:48:58
Don't worry - people like me and visaeris never seem to be able to keep our cool in the face of irratation. tongue.gif There probably will be some glom v Mag problems, but, hey. That's what makes them game fun.
Unknown2005-04-06 22:49:10
I think it will be Glom but you have to leave that 1% with anything our Admins do. They're just that sneaky.
Desdemona2005-04-06 22:52:34
It classify Glomdoring v. Serenwilde as= Death v. Fertility. Wasteland v. Forest. tongue.gif
Erion2005-04-06 22:53:04
Or more like Night v Moon.
Shamarah2005-04-06 22:54:09
You meant Gaudigauch for Emotion, didn't you?

Well, I'm going to assume the Glomdoring's coming, as it's a small chance now for the Gloriana.

It's good and bad - I think it's stopping now, as Angkrag, Rockholm, and Southgard were not attacked, all three underground and all three mining villages.

I think Mag'll help the Glomdoring's 2-3 people who can influence take a village or two, in hopes of making at least a non-enemy.

First, I assume Glomdoring will -not- be able to influence Rockholm or Southgard because they will gain the ability to influence undead (Rowena and Brennan were undead afterall) as per the same rules as Magnagora. Good luck fighting over that smile.gif
Desdemona2005-04-06 22:55:28
Yes, I did... Glomdoring was in my head atm, that could respond for the mix-up.

The only reason why Magnagora can't influence Rockholm/Southgard is because they own Angkrag. Glomdoring can influence Rockholm/Southgard, as long as they don't have Angkrag.

Good luck Celest and Serenwilde biggrin.gif

Erm, Magnagora can influence rockholm or Southgard. They just can't have Angkrag influenced. Which basically means if we take Rockholm/Southgard, and Mag keeps Angkrag, Celest/Serenwilde will be screwed a village.

It's not Mastery in Necromancy that controls the influencing of mining villages, but if you have Angkrag or not.
Unknown2005-04-06 22:58:19
Ok, so we have a hypothetical possible Glom with a newer bolder more in your face taint, to go with the N.B.MIYF. S&M that comes with Erion...So, what of the N.B.MIYF tainted guilds?
How do you get more tainted that the guilds of Mag?

-Load skull arb
You load a ratskull arrow into a twisted oak arbalest.
-Gothsnipe rat
You take aim and focus upon the Snipers of Goth. A scream echoes from the arrow as it jolts to life, driving the energy of the N.B.MIYF Taint into the soul of a rat.
A rat bursts into pure energy and is gone.
--The Glomdorito Nexus glows with a newfound power--
wow.. I should really just give it up and get some rest...

Incorrect as usual. The reason that Magnagora cannot influence Angkrag Southgard is because 90% of the village is undead and -only- Magnagora can influence undead. If Glomdoring can influence undead, it will be in the same situation and given that Glomdoring will be tainted and the two former overseer of the forest were undead, we can assume that ability will be available.

o.O That doesn't make sense.

EDIT: Erm, do you mean Angkrag? If you'ld like, I can dig up the announce post. but Mag can influence Rockholm/Southgard, then grab Angkrag.
Desdemona2005-04-06 23:01:03
Tainted isn't so important to Glomdoring as it is to Mag. Glomdoring is... Tainted forest. Maybe they should've change a bit Glomdoring's element? I think that even though Glomdoring is Tainted, it doesn't cease to be more Nature than the cities.
Shiri2005-04-06 23:02:15
huh.gif No, Narsrim, Silvanus is entirely right.
If you own Angkrag, you can't control Southgard/Rockholm.
Magnagora can own Angkrag, but doesn't HAVE to if it doesn't want to. Glomdoring is less than likely to have Necromancy, and thus will unable to get Angkrag, so they can still contend for Southgard/Rockholm. And if it DOES get Angkrag, MAGNAGORA will be able to get Southgard/Rockholm.

Honestly, I think the change to Magnagora was almost under the assumption they would always have Angkrag. For an undead group of any kind to possess a dwarven village borders on retarded. That's the very thing they utterly hate and despise.

Of course, I don't like the idea that a faeling can better influence a dwarven mining village better than a dwarf... but oh well. I lose.
