I want an artifact that lets me vine/torc/growth/curse with my cudgel, so I don't have to juggle a shield/cudgel/sickle.

This is such a good idea! A small artifact, but it would make so much sense to be able to use nature skills with the druid's main weapon. I don't know if Aquamancers/Geomancers/(and whatever anti-Druids the Glomdoring has) have the same problem, but I'd sure think about buying one.

Of course, it would be better if the cudgels were just changed in game to double as talismans, but an artifact would be just as good. Would also mean I don't have to resummon it all the time. smile.gif

To my knowledge, we're the only class that has three things to wield, unless you count knights switching in a shield to stun with. Mages have staff/shield, moondancers have athame/shield, guardians have just a shield.

Maybe an artifact of karma that increases your karma like the powerplex jewels do for power. Though, you wouldn't be able to stack karma regen, that would be massively overpowered.

An perhaps at a lessened cost, Tuek, maybe an artifact to support a single blessing.. "Earrings of Karma" : Allows you to select and maintain a single karma blessing at no karma cost. These stack, but you can only wear two at a time.

Knowledge, please.

Yes ma'am, level 2 stat artifact coming right up.

How about the Torcs that increase mana/health/ego also increasing willpower & endurance by the relevant amounts as well? whistling.gif

Or, more realistically, I'd love to see new artifacts that increase endurance and willpower.
Richter2005-05-25 13:27:00
Yeah, as much as I dislike shouts, I hate the 5k cost. Wish I had a bit more.

Some possible Influencing artifacts (to try and make it somewhat comparable to bashing, for when some good areas arrive)
==================================================

The following artifacts will increase your influencing effectiveness in one style, encouraging your target to become as receptive as they can be to that type of influence. They will have no effect if the person's temperament is firmly opposed to that style.

Mask of Lustrous Beauty (Seduction) -------------- 500 credits
Mask of Unfortunate Circumstance (Charity) --------- 200 credits
Mask of Shining Confidence (Empowerment) ---- 100 credits
Mask of Frightening Horror (Paranoia) ----------- 100 credits
Mask of Merciless Cruelty (Weaken) ----------- 100 credits

======================================================

Insignia of the Diplomat -------------- 200 credits

(This will provide equivalent karma from successful influence attacks, comparable to the amount obtained if offered.)

======================================================

Medallion of Wit and Repartee ---------- 100 credits (Extra 2/100 criticals)
Medallion of Silken Charm ----------- 300 credits (Extra 4/100 criticals)
Medallion of Suave Seduction --------- 600 credits (Extra 6/100 criticals)

(Work just like critical hit medals, but for influence)

Edit: Fixed my spelling error... *weep*

Edit: And my grammar error... losewings.gif

They'd be much more expensive than that, since they'd basically compare to added damage arties.
Shiri2005-06-01 05:18:49
No they wouldn't. You can't use those things on players, remember. And nothing in there says about debating. (And you can't crit in debating.)
Elryn2005-06-01 06:10:32
You can't get criticals in denizen influencing either, but its something I would love to see... whether by artifacts or not. happy.gif

An artifact that lets me do custom paintings that don't cost 4k+ to make, and so that I don't have to manipulate the system.

I promised I wouldn't do any more of Crystal Leaf Inn! *point Kethuru painting* *snuggle Kethuru painting*

maybe redo the forging hammer so its actually worth the cost? like make it so it has a chance to superpower weapons like 2-5% chance meaning all the stats will be like uber good, cause as it stands now it would be a cold day in hell before i spent credits on the hammer
Richter2005-06-02 16:33:26
Don't let it make super weapons, because then I'd just spend all day trying for one, and masterweapons would be second rate.

Make it so that it has perma-dwarven runes, then we'll talk. happy.gif
Marcalo2005-06-02 16:37:21
well so it has a chance of perma dwarf runes, then i think i would buy it, but either way its useless right now
Richter2005-06-02 17:00:44
Nah, when using the arti hammer, it will make you go forge twice as fast, and when you're done, it leaves perma-dwarven runes on it.

And I agree, its not worth it right now. As a faeling, I already forge somewhat quickly, and I have a forge trigger anyway. I don't really care if I forge a bit faster, unless I'm doing a mass order.
Marcalo2005-06-02 17:14:06
i literally spend hours forging, i just usually go afk with a sound trigger if anyone enters or leaves my room or if i sent a tell or if my name is mentioned on gt ct or clt, then i come back in see whats up and leave, no its not tactic to gain anything its just forging so damn boring
Richter2005-06-02 17:15:57
Ah, I should figure out how to do that!

But yes. Upgrade hammers!
Marcalo2005-06-02 17:32:27
then they would have to upgrade rapiers, since hammers are the bludgeon version of rapiers, and really neither need it.
Richter2005-06-02 17:56:11
Wait, I thought we were talking about forging hammers having less forge time, and giving perma-runes. Why are we upgrading rapiers?
Marcalo2005-06-02 18:38:31
ignore that last one it was my fever and flu talking been sick for the last 2 days!!
Ekard2005-06-05 15:44:49
I have idea for a RP arti. What with Book of Knowledge.
No it dont gives + to int. You may read it and then you learn one racial language, like krokanian, merian or elfen.
It could be cool. One book would be for one language and if it wasnt more then 100cr then mayby someone would like to buy them.
