Well, having just read about the Imperian artifact that changes entry/exit messages (that was the angel thing, right?), I thought about what sort of message I would like for Elryn. And I realized what I most want is to stop walking everywhere.

Now, rather than making everyone buy an artifact for this privilege, what if the different races had a slightly different entry and exit message. Not only would this emphasise racial roleplay, but it would be a vast improvement to 'enters' and 'exits'.

For example:

Elryn flutters in from the north.
Elryn flits out to the south.

Gwylifar prowls in from the north.
Gwylifar stalks towards the south.

Richter strides in from the north.
Richter strides out to the south.

etc.

I like... though what if an Aslaran doesn't feel like prowling in and out every day? Heh.

I know this is stretching it, and overcomplicating it, but perhaps it could be activated/deactivated, so you could see the regular message, or the special racial entry message.

Sure, add a CONFIG option to walk unnoticeably (default), or racially.

Furrikin bounds out to the south.
Human purposefully strides in from the north.
Human strides out to the south.
Shaking the ground, Igasho stomps in from the north.
Igasho stomps out to the south.
With a rolling gait, Loboshigaru lopes in from the north.
Loboshigaru lopes out to the south.
A crystalline clinking heralds Lucidian from the north.
Lucidian clinks as (s)he leaves to the south.
Merian regally glides in from the north.
Merian regally glides out to the south.
Mugwump waddles in from the north.
Mugwump waddles out to the south.
Tae'dae lumbers in from the north.
Tae'dae lumbers out to the south.
Taurian stamps in from the north.
With a snort, Taurian stamps out to the south.
Wings flexing behind h(er/im), Trill strides in from the north.
Trill strides out to the south.
Viscanti silently slinks in from the north.
Viscanti slinks out to the south.

Most of these are similar to existing denizens.

Dwarf, Krokani, and Orclach I don't know. They all have denizens though, so they might give ideas.

Please Gods no.... NO waddling for the Mugwumps! I'd never go Mugwump again out of embarassment.

But it would be so cute!

I would so trigger that to pet tuek, or snuggle tuek, cute little waddly thing!

And oh man, that might help Tuek for fights. He waddles in and everyone just starts laughing, giving him the upperhand.

Every viscanti I know, including mineself, is incredibly loud and likes to make a spectacle of things. And we're bigger than humans, by quite a bit. =/
