Heh, the dark council, with Brennan, needs to be pumped up majorly...
My idea, cause them to hit with paralysis, and gain health equal to the damage they deal, as well as a room attack which is proportional in power to the number of the council members raised.
Seriously, no one should be able to kill 3 players and the entire council in two minutes, considering the effort required to raise them.

I've soloed a Demon Lord. Brennan is nowhere nor should be as powerful.

Dwarf + Resilience + Drawdown = OMFG!
Plus you have a stone or is that just Tuek?

Sylphas2005-04-09 03:17:55
Did you seriously just suggest a mob with a roomwide lifedrain, that also causes paralysis? They'd be unkillable. And by the time we started whittling them down, the people raising Crow would be on us and we'd all get owned.
They need powered up a bit, I agree, but that's insane.

Heh, I dont think the demon lords should be killable by normal means anyway. Meh.
Quests are always better than mindless bashing.

Xenthos2005-04-09 03:19:55
... no. Mindless questing is just as bad as mindless bashing.
Akraasiel2005-04-09 03:21:10
That was the point Sylphas, make people have to perform an equally difficult and vunerable quest to remove the council. I dont think RP key mobs should be killable by anyone less than a freaking army.
And the lifedrain would just be on single hits, the room attack would just be a large amount of pure damage.

Not mindless questing, a deep, complex, interesting and involving quest.
Sylphas2005-04-09 03:24:38
Why should they be unkillable? Demon lords and such, maybe, because they're so far above mortal. But I don't care how important they are, you need a damn good RP reason to make something invulnerable. The council should be killable, but it shouldn't be nearly as easy as it is now. I see Narsrim go in, and a minute later he's cleared the whole room of players and mobs. That's insane. If I take 5 people in with me, though, and the only people watching at the time are only half-decent fighters, I should be able to make at least a sizable dent in the council before Daevos and friends show up to hand me my ass.
Unknown2005-04-09 03:29:36
Eh... they're undead and Brennan is like a freakin' sage in the art of Crow.. ness, despite his whining during the past event.
Should be a decent reason to boost them slightly.
Plus it just makes sense for something so lengthy to summon to be taken down in a fraction of that time.

It'd make sense if anti-crow people had to do a long, annoying quest to be able to kill the council, just as its a long, annoying quest to get them.

That was going to be my suggestion too, something along those lines.
It really does suck to watch someone come in and tank the denizens in a second, while it took a long time to raise them. I realize Narsrim is very tanky, but the game has been open for less than a year now and already we are about to have titans. All the denizens needed for events are gonna have to be invincible or placed at the highest level from now on.

What was that argument Akraasiel used before.... something like you dont know hard quests until you do one of those gaiduch or halifax quests... i think he said newb too *snicker*
Akraasiel2005-04-09 12:17:52
Timewise, the Gaudi/halli quests are the longest quests in Lusternia. They take several days of people tasking it 24 hours a day. If there was a group opposing the guadi/halli quests, it would be just like crow quests, but even worse.

Morrigana (Female Elfen).
She is 17 years old, having been born on the 3rd of Kiani, 97 years after the
Coming of Estarra.
She is unranked in Lusternia.
She is an extremely credible character.
She is a Vagrant in the Fellowship of Explorers
Her motto: 'May the Mother guide you, keep you, make you her own.'
She is considered to be approximately 0% of your might.
She is not currently active in any family.
She survived the horror of Kethuru when creation was threatened.
I'll never understand this. Why do extremist roleplayers insist on having pathetically weak characters? Even if, like Erion, they want to roleplay someone powerful?

Guido too. Y'know, that's a funny question.
Unknown2005-04-09 13:31:15
That really is, and has been something that bothered me for quite some time. Guido, Erion, Morrighana... how odd. They don't even bother to get outside of newbiedom at times as well.
Manjanaia2005-04-09 14:57:27
Perhaps because often some people want to be prominent but they cannot fight so they make nuisances out of themselves. If someone like Tuek or Narsrim or Amaru never RPed and just quietly killed their foes than their names would still be known.
Silvanus2005-04-09 17:03:13
Umm...
ETANRU? Only time he's been out of newbiedom is when he killed Ixion. So quick to judge yet missing the biggest one.

Shiri2005-04-09 17:22:18
The biggest what? The biggest RPer who's a newbie? That doesn't mean Etanru's more RP-...whateveryouwanttocallit than Erion, or Guido. Just because he's smaller doesn't mean he RPs more. It doesn't work that way, man.
