Quit it with the personal attacks, people. :/

If the purpose is to get unenemied, it won't help them to do as it will result in Perma Enemy.  As for getting off Scott-free, well, don't be so sure about that at all. () smile.gif

The purpose doesn't have to be to get unenemied though. Could be a host of other things. To quote Ethelon's own examples:

1) made some deals with me on behalf of Celest.

2) I ended up bartering with and making him agree to stop doing such attacks in exchange for his items.
Bricriu2005-04-09 22:11:40
The thing about blackmailers though, is they have to count on the other person going through with it.

Personally, I know plenty of people willing to play dirty with those who play dirty, first.

Thank god, I was afraid he would get away with that, which would be the stupidest thing Bricriu could do. I'm glad Daevos finally enemied Ethelon! biggrin.gif

Well, yay. cheer.gif And I say that even if I end up losing all my items without the least hope of help / getting them back. Then again, I've been accused of being the kind who's capable of cutting off my nose to spite my face.

I love how people who really know nothing about what happened beyond just what Ethelon showed think they know all. :3

I'm not going to bother to say what else is, or is not in planning, seeing as how people cannot seperate forums and the game.
Hazar2005-04-09 22:28:38
What's the lesson we've learned here, children?

Lusternia gives you the perfect poker face.

Quite funny how easily you assume things that all I know about is from the log.

You obviously don't know it all, or you wouldn't assume I'd just let Ethelon get away with his actions.

But that's ok, seeing as you don't exactly sit next to me, watching me send and receive tells and messages.

I can't believe he thought he'd stay unenemied. I would've just kept her things from a RP stance, but I don't believe in robbing people. ninja.gif
Silvanus2005-04-09 23:43:44
I would've given everything back aside from the gold.
Bricriu2005-04-09 23:55:19
I don't bother attempting theft at all, and likely never will sans attempts to steal something back that was stolen from an ally.

ohmy.gif Is that weird?
Ialie2005-04-10 00:40:02
I don't understand the big deal.

Yrael did this all the time. Except there was no getting your stuff back.

He would steal entire stock rooms and we were just told to grin and bear it.

Can't spend all day long sitting by a statue and trying to summon every Magnagoran character in the game in a pre-programmed cycle anymore? Get dreamweaving and you can still be an ass!

You're a smart and creative guy Ethelon.
Ethelon2005-04-10 00:45:20
You are a proven moron Jello, keep it up.

By the way, the thing with Valek and his deal was someone else getting his swords awhile ago. With Murphy, he was dumb and had a huge amount of herbs and items in his inventory when I killed him.

I never expected to stay unenemied...I know no one in Magnagora keeps their word. I still in the end got what I wanted, so I'm pleased. The whole being unenemied to Magnagora was just to put them through some loops, which worked as I liked, gave me a laught.
Unknown2005-04-10 00:50:08
Shoulda just left them pissed off and kept the gold. ninja.gif

Don't be so sure! evil.gif Okay, maybe. I'm only willing to invest so much time in plotting against one person. tongue.gif

Balance is sometimes something people have a hard time trying to follow. In some minds, it is ok if certain negative things happen to others; it is not ok if the same negative things happen to those with the fore mentioned mindset. Essentially, many people are hypocrites when it comes right down to it.
Bricriu2005-04-10 06:58:24
Actually, I believe Llexyn was basically told the same thing, Ialie.

She just happens to have people that were willing to help her.
