I'd hate to see a Faeling with 20 strength, they'd make a damn good warrior. Best I can see is about...12. And that's with every possible buff. :/ And 11 if they don't have Highmagic.

Well, if you take a fully buffed ur'Guard faeling with fortuna strength and lich at night, and then if *all* the Elder Gods each gave a truefavor to the same faeling, simultaneously, plus we got him a hero's fete... that comes to about 21, if I'm counting right. That'd be the Vernal Faeling of Doom!

And if you did the same to a tae'dae...more or less an instakill on most people, there, given stat-scaling.

I'm going Faeling now, fear my 1.5 second slashes for 100 damage each!

No, no, do it with rapiers! 1.4 second slashes for 30 damage each! That's a lot better!

I think there's an upper limit of 25, so the tae'dae would stop benefitting well before we ran out of Elder Gods.

Oh, true, I forgot about that. (How is it people know that limit is there though? What ungodly race/class combination actually got that high in the first place? )

Flight. From a roleplay perspective I guess you could still be a Faeling, but you'd be better off as Elfen until the dexterity/size code is implemented since Elfen con/int > Faeling con/int.

That's almost exactly why I switched. The overlapping broom/wings was the final straw. Now it's going to cost me 100cr to switch back. *mutter*

Yeah, but Faeling are too cool for me to stay away. I miss being able to fly. And now that they could make decent runists, a lot of my reasons for going Elfen went away. I'm never going to be a top-tier fighter, and I can be decent as either (hopefully), so it's down to coolness.

Well, I guess faelings are 'balanced' now!

All jokes aside, I do think there is still a lot of problems with this race that need to be looked at.... but I'm happy to wait until after the nifty new commune is finished.

Faelings are now the best race for Hartstone.

Because they got +3 balance now so they can sling runes a second and a half faster but still dies in 3 hits from people like Murphy? Faelings before and after this upgrade is no better than Elfen at being Hartstone, but Elvens at least have higher con and intelligence and no exp penalty. Faelings just plain suck.

Hehe, can you imagine a Faeling warrior with 2 high speed rapiers?

They would own in Achaea where poisons hit 100% . And with the level 3 artie Rapiers...holy crap...

Dsl speed is capped in Achaea.

I'd like to see Murphy get off those hits on me with bolting, the demesne chucking him around, paralysing him, myself runing from the next room/from in the air at mad speed, etc.
