To be honest, there were about 10 guards there, the door was closed, Shorlen was aeoning you, I was vining and moonbursting you periodically. You didn't have much chance anyway.
But yes. The blackout is ridiculous.
EDIT: Okay, that was the first time. Second time is what you posted, when I wisped you in after Daevos got wisped. That time it was 3on1, in a Hartstone demesne, so you wouldn't've had much chance anyway.

You can't really have a seperate system for blackout, because you can't see what's going ON in blackout, and there's no cure for it. You can only HOPE you haven't got any other afflictions, and go for Allheale. Or wait for it to stop. (And as Annelia says, it starts again right soon.)

Hmm, depends on how you set up your system I guess. The more it checks for illusions / relies on the prompt, the more you'd need a separate one.

If I drink during blackout, and then get that message after the blackout, it won't record as me having balance back, because I didn't get the message that I actually drank something.
Or I got the affliction line before the blackout, cured it during the start of the blackout, but because I didn't get the cure line, keep trying to cure it through the whole blackout.
And you can still see the secondary affliction / in the process of curing lines.
So if I had a separate system during blackout, I could go by the cure needed instead of specific afflictions. Say I get "You are too confused to concentrate properly." first and then "Spiders are erupting from your mouth and nose!" while blackout.
Assuming I didn't have a previous pennyroyal affliction, the first message will do +1 to the pennyroyal variable, and the second does another +1. If there are pennyroyal afflictions before the blackout, add that first.
Upon seeing the pennyroyal outrifted, it will assume that I've eaten and do -1. Or an alternative is to do -1 when I send the command to outr and eat it.

Maybe it's just overcomplicated and you could just assume you have your balance back?
I mean, it's better to drink too early then lose system balance forever.

It's just an example. Was doing it at the start because I was using it as a check for addiction too, then realised how badly it could screw me up (as compared to eating one more galingale for a fake addiction) and changed to what you're suggesting.
Maybe a better example would be writhing. Like having to figure out some way to reset the writhe balance since many don't do another writhe when they're already (supposedly) still writhing.

we do have blackout prompt sum... when the stats are missin you remove the checks or youll loop on some of them or have to reset. well i reset anyway when blackout goes poof.

Blackout over and over again is overpowered. I think a restriction on the memoryloss mote should be made that forces the person to first embed 3 other motes before it may be embedded. Then there would only be a 25% chance of blackout going off per 10-second cycle. A situation like that would easily make it possible for a person to have the cure for blackout available most of the times it is received.
