Well, here's an idea... Devris is on Nil. Devris does QW. Devris says "OMG, NARSRIM IS ON NIL!!!!!!!"
And instead of saying to himself "Well, Narsrim must just be off having a picnic with a few of his best buddies, the Demon Lords..."
Maybe he should go "CT Umm, Narsrim on Nil, perhaps attacking the Demon Lords..."

Yes, when there were no guards present at all, and when they were still weak, or did you forget they got mutliple upgrades, one of them was even RP'd as part of the tainted fae event.
You're starting to sound full of it Narsrim, are you deliberately forgetting stuff like that or do you think WE'd forget all of it?

Still doesn't deny the fact that Mag could have taken better precautions to prevent this. The Moondancers always have someone on Ethereal to watch for commune enemies that pop in. Why can't Mag do the same? Especially when 2 of your guilds can easily access Nil via Nexus? And apparently all the rational that no single or two persons should be able to kill a Demon Lord is coming from the Mag players. Seriously, if they were intended to be more powerful, then the admins would have upgraded them even more, the fact that they can die means the admins wanted -someone- to be able to kill them, regardless of numbers or not.
Thorgal2005-04-14 15:32:26
The exact same objections came from Celestians as well, when Magnagora started systematically slaughtering all the Supernals, and behold: they got upgraded, they even allowed guards to be placed on the planes for the same reason.
We killed moon avatars: they got upgraded, and AGAIN after the tainted fae event.
Serenwilde whined, celest whined, magnagora whined, all with good reason.
I do remember divine saying small groups or even single players should NOT be able to kill a supernal, Hart, avatars or a demon lord.

Simply put: TWO PLAYERS SHOULD NOT KILL ANY SORT OF DEMON LORD, OR SUPERNAL, OR MOON SPIRIT, OR HART.
The Divine have stated this MULTIPLE times (thus the upgrades to them)

Heh, and two shouldn't be able to take on two of said above Denizens.

Can we please have a minute of silence....
....for the poor misunderstood UNDERPOWERED MOONDANCERS.
That's right, Tuek and Narsrim claim to be underpowered, despite soloing Demon Lords and Supernals. Admittedly Tuek dies pretty fast in PvP (and btw, if anyone was thinking of killing him, remember he takes it out on your fiancee before you do anything) but underpowered...? Riiight.

They are underpowered. Just because they're built like brick walls doesn't change anything.
Tuek and Narsrim are artied out dwarf Moondancers. Maybe Moondancers as a class are tanky bastards, but those two are not who to judge that by.
Moondancers need offensive upgrades. If those have to come by way of defensive downgrades, oh well.

Let's not forget that Devris was, SITTING ON THE PLANE THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE... I mean, if he checked who even once, he would have noticed that Narsrim was right there exposed on the list.
Edit: And believe me, we were there for awhile.Â

Well, see, that's pretty darn impossible. For one, I never come to Nil and this was actually the first time I explored it and came up only AFTER someone said, "Go check Gorgulu, I heard a rumor he is dead".
I was off bashing Spectres when someone said to gather essence as we needed to raise Gorgulu. Then I spent the next 5 minutes begging for a ride to earth, before getting pissed and running through the Ethereal to earth.
So sorry, wasn't me sitting on Nil until they were all already down. And yes, spammed the bejesus out of QW when I was up there while Gorgulu was almost back up.

Yes, we Ur'Guard just love to hang out on Nil. So much to bash there for us, and some good conversations!!! Considering I have to run through 2 forests and Munsia's demense to get there on my own, you won't and will not see me hanging out there unless the Demon Lords are down.
I'd like to point back earlier in this thread where someone said, "What is there like 4 dwarves?"
Good point, but notice that the two people that everyone almost agrees are overpowered in tankiness just happen to be dwarves. What a mystery!
Xenthos2005-04-14 17:58:24
There is just as much for me to bash at Rockholm's gate, yet I managed to stand there for a while.
And get noogied by Daevos on his way through, while he was serpented...
EDIT: Guarding isn't ALWAYS fun, patrols can be boring... but either you patrol, or let others do as they will.

I'll stand there guarding, no probs. I guarded Brennan for about 6 hours the other night and stood guard on the earth archway another night, the zoo, so on and so forth. Gives me time to work on things, like my nonexistant combat system.
The point being, I was responding to the claim I was already there when Tuek and Narsrim raided, when quite obviously no one was there. We found out via someone saying to check Nil, and then getting word they were dead. I'd have no reason to be on Nil unless it had already been attacked, as I believe the Nihilists are the keepers of Nil.
I'll take blame for alot of things, but in this case, I'm innocent.
Thorgal2005-04-14 18:15:12
Narsrim doesn't have any artifacts, and he solo'd Gorgulu a while back, without any aide, it took him 30 minutes, but he did it.
Silvanus2005-04-14 18:16:21
Tenqual, you are an idiot.
This thread was not based on whining, thus its not in the Idiots forum, this thread was posted before they killed any other Demon Lords. I posted this for people to start their opinions. Please hang yourself and die.
Addressing Moon Avatars: Back when they killed them, they were incredibly weak (a lot weaker then Demon Lords, and were supposed to be that), there wasn't that many guards, and there weren't many totems that were runed and tuned.
Addressing Demon Lords/Supernal slaying: Well done.
Addressing Ur'Guard/Moondancer tankiness: I have no clue why.

Addressing guarding on Nil: I've been on every hour of the day, on the weekends, weekdays, I've seen times were I was the only Magnagoran on at all planes (this would be about 5-6 am in the morning).
Between 9-10 am, there is about 5 Magnagorans on, tops.
Magnagora has the lowest amount of citizens, Celest really close, and Serenwilde has a bunch. If Glomdoring comes, it'd only increase the gap between the two.

Triple post, but have to address this:
I kill Fae, Faethorn, from time to time, I check into Ethereal often, and plenty of times I see no one there, no one being the keyword.
Iridiel2005-04-15 10:20:21
Probably the guard was changing and were deciding who would go to next watch

That's true, there are often times when no one is there, but the majority of times we do have people there, espcially durings times of hostility.

Oh geez, I'm gonna have to start doing that again soon.
