The major problem is that when you write a description, most people tailor it to their original race.
When you do Change Self in illusions, your description remains, thus still give away that you are mugwump, merian, elven, viscanti whatever...
Perhaps when you Change self, the description disappears as if you have never written it.
Also have a way to get rid fo the change self. The only way now is to weave another change self, but it's not really the same.

Firstly, how hard is it to type in DESCRIBE SELF to just clear your description.
Secondly, you have dispell which I think can be used to dispell changed self.

Yep, you can. It's the fact that you can changeself back into your original race that isn't too widely known... yet. Or so I surmise from all the surprised questions the equivalent of "I thought that was your real race?" I get when I do it.
