From the log I am in, it is easy to see that blackout is easily manageable when it is melded with 3 other motes. Each time it hit, Terenas always had allheale available for the cure. I believe this shows that the simple solution to the blackout problem is to only allow it to be embedded once three or more other motes are put in place.
