Right, so we didn't steal anything.

Do you think if Bush comes to europe and kicks Chirak in the **** France would say, oh it's just Bush not the president elected by the people.

Would they then go on to ban all Americans from their country and shops? I doubt it.

And besides, he's not the commander of anything I am in.
Elgar2005-04-17 16:31:06
the GCA is the official army of New Celest, therefor he is commander in an official organisation you are in.

And yes France would ban export of products that can HELP the enemy win. Don't forget potions are a tactical aid to combat.

Amaru, you didn't do anything immoral

Hell, mags kill people on sight just for being in earth, if they are gonna be that way, why shouldn't we?

Democracy has its pluses, but thank God common sense wasn't left up to a vote.

If everyone except our elected officials and armed forces decided that America could mop up the mess we made in Iraq quicker if we took away the troops' guns and body armor and replaced them with aprons and feather dusters, what are the odds that it would happen?

About the same as us banning the Serens from Water.
Alger2005-04-18 07:08:22
ban them then give the mags permission to kill serenwilders on the water plane. I think that would be a lot of fun... go empire of the old.

So basically giving the Magnagorians (the evil citizens) and in character reason to kill non-celestians in water...

I think many a magnagorians would drool at that option...
Faethan2005-04-18 19:11:40
Water is already not avenger protected, Magnagorans can kill people there anyway.
Narsrim2005-04-18 19:22:21
Celest banned me from presenting Elohora with the corpses of Gorgulu, Ashtorath, and Nifilhema. If anyone is going to ban someone, Elohora is going to ban some certain Celestians smile.gif

Sorta like how the Mags have already been killing any non-Mags on Earth for ages? tongue.gif

Earth is so much fun. Because of the stuff on Ethereal, I almost always have a guarenteed tesseract target when I need to get off the plane because someone else showed up.

I'm curious how you guys are seeing if someone else shows up or not, demesneing it with watch? That's the only reliable mode of watching for others entering your area I know how to do.. There some command tucked away I don't know?

and I agree that its tough finding alchemist but there are still people out there willing to refill...yes even for -gasp- commune enemies! ninja.gif

You just have to know where to look. evil.gif

EDIT: or maybe its just because I'm me.. dunno.gif

I have a whole coded paranoia subsystem, that calls who/qw/scan every so many seconds. When I'm on Earth, I just set it to pull the who list up every 5 seconds, and if I'm not the only one on it, I tess off. Granted, someone with a gem could catch me, but I haven't had any problems so far. Just getting jumped by Jelaludin once when I was actually in the process of walking off.

It would be nice if they coded pentagram to not fade at teleport or tesseract or whatever. That way it might give you that extra couple seconds you need before they raze or void it to fly away...

The gods aren't going to make "hunting grounds" for communes to gather essence. This is one of the differences between communes and cities that will never change. Cities will never get totems that generate monthly power either. It's awfully nice if the city allows a commune to "hunt" on their elemental plane for essence, but it is not a design flaw that there is no essence hunting ground for communes. This is in fact a deliberate design objective. Note the Faethorn fae quests generate quite a bit of essence now for communes, which has recently turned into a re-doable quest (like essence gathering). Cities too can use the fae of Faethorn for essence--and there's nothing stopping tit-for-tat agreements, i.e., you can gather fae for essence if we can hunt on your elemental plane.
Revan2005-04-19 20:54:33
There's the Divine "OK" for Seren hunting on elemental planes.

It's very much not the power that's important, but the bashing grounds. Does the Fae quest give equal experience to hunting, can anyone say? I haven't tested it yet.
Sylphas2005-04-19 21:32:21
Unless they vastly boost the honeycomb repop rate, it's definitely not as good experience as bashing Elemental. There's like 20 starsuckers, a bunch of leechs, but only (last I heard) 4 honeycombs in an hour.

Hmm. A fae quest is comparable xp to a dream leech. There are 12 honeycombs out at any given time and player made honeycakes also work on fae (if anyone has stocked up on them, especially considering some cooks can make multiple portions).

I'm still not sure why there is a need for hunting grounds especially if its just to 'bash for xp'. There are places on the prime certainly, just looking at the oceans, Skarch and Balach alone.
Erion2005-04-19 21:58:35
I did not know player-made honeycakes would work. I'm actually wanting to go get some now. smile.gif
