When I left last night (i.e. 5:15 this morning. Damn you events! (Just kidding)), Magnagora had left, and Tuek was slaying bound fae so we could lead them to Moon. From the snippets I caught this morning, Mag was back and being a pain in the ass again.

This is cute. Do the Fae belong to Serenwilde... all of them?

Serenwilde steals the Fae from Faethorn, and Glomdoring steals the Fae from Faethorn. There is no need or reason or truth to Glomdoring steling fae from Serenwilde. Serenwilde has however decided that killing fae is ok when they don't belong to them... WTF?
Sylphas2005-04-15 21:23:50
Once again. OOC, yes. IC, we're saving them from enslavement, and leading them to Mother Moon, who will be kind and loving to them. Or something like that, I'm not entirely sure, but that's the gist.

Daganev2005-04-15 21:27:10
No... your killing fae. ICly ... your killing fae.

Just as Celest does not kill fae and make them cherbus, because... they are killing fae...

The only thing that makes me more frustrated than inconsistant RP is when people are either lieing or can't see that they have inconsistant RP.

Unlike in Real life, its very possible for a person to make sure they remain consistant while roleplaying. Consitant charachters make the story interesting.

Wouldn't you just love it if in the middle of the lord of the rings, the orcs came out and started helping the elves build a new house to make pancakes in?
Desdemona2005-04-15 21:29:29
Does Serenwilde steal the fae, or did the Serenwilde become the ONLY commune that continued having a relationship with the fae after Glomdoring went crazy and killed fae and Ackleberry ejected? By the way, I don't think this is the first time Serenwilde has killed fae, they killed fae in the Tainted Fae incident, or not?
Shiri2005-04-15 21:29:32
We're killing Tainted, evil Fae, which we don't see as the same as the real Fae, and bringing them to Mother Moon for saving and protection. I hope you're not suggesting we drop that from an IC perspective. blink.gif We don't kill the Faethorn ones, in case you misunderstood that.
Daganev2005-04-15 21:32:14
Fae live in faethorn, that is who they are loyal to. You steal them from there.

Tainted Fae arn't real fae? So when you have a hostage, you just kill the hostages right, because they arn't real people anymore?

How about killing all the prisoners because then they won't be in prision any more?

The fae are bound in shadow, they are not tainted. If they were tainted, they would look like tainted fae, not shadow bound fae.

glomdoring is tainted, the bound fae are not.

Because people are not using IC perspectives they are using Game mechanic perspectives, and assume the only way to stop a quest is to kill the quest mob.
Desdemona2005-04-15 21:35:30
SERENWILDE DOESN'T STEAL FAE! Quitt saying such lie. Serenwlde has been the only remaining COMMUNE to have mantained a relationship with the Fae. Wiccans and Druids have both had a close relationship with faethorn and the fae. The fae are the spirits that wiccans protect. Moondancers protects fae, and the fae provide assistance. Glomdoring would just be the same, if it wasn't that in histories Rowena decided to go crazy and spook all the fae from Ethereal Glomdoring.

Probe Brownie
This brownie looks like a brownie
It is loyal to the Faethorn realm.

give Honey to Brownie.. boing.

Take Brownie to Avatar
Oh thank you, now he will follow me.

Probe Brownie
this brownie looks like a seren brownie.
It is loyal to Mother Moon.

Fae are perfectly happy NOT being loyal to a Moon Avatar, Serenwilde is not.
Thorgal2005-04-15 21:39:17
Desdemonna = pwnt.

I know it's childish to use "pwnt", but it still gets across the point quite accurately.
Shiri2005-04-15 21:40:17
Stop STEALING those uninfluenced villages. They're fine being alone. They rebelled for a reason, man.

I saw you there during infleuncing time. Stop it.
Daganev2005-04-15 21:41:19
You can not steal a location... but you can steal dwarves.

What you ment to say was Stop conquering those villages.
Thorgal2005-04-15 21:41:51
Not like influencing is a city thing, but there's also nothing wrong with stealing Fae, it doesn't kill them. (but it's still stealing evil.gif )
Shiri2005-04-15 21:42:56
No I didn't Daganev, but you're right, I did say that badly. I meant villageRs.
Stop stealing those villageRs.
Daganev2005-04-15 21:45:02
oh.. yes you can steal dwarves.

Nobody has said there is something wrong with stealing fae, I said Serenwilde should not be killing fae.

Desdemona said that stealing fae is a lie, I'm showing its not a lie.

But everyone always says.. Stop stealing the Furrikin farmers, Stop stealing the Dwarven miners..
Shiri2005-04-15 21:52:09
I think you're assuming it's a permanent death like the suspension of disbelief factor covers for other things. It isn't. The Fae are immortal. It's just like killing prisoners to get them out of prison, and then them returning to their home country, only it's not metagaming, so it's not as bad.
Sylphas2005-04-15 21:53:46
Judging from Gwyllgi's tone and how they look, shadow bound fae are just that--bound. They're immortal spirits, so when we kill their mortal bodies, all we're really doing is freeing them from bondage.

You can argue that we enslave them just the same, and I'd agree with you as a player. Sylphas, however, doesn't see it that way, and neither does most of Serenwilde.
