Then explain why Serenwilde is against killing fae?

And why does Faethorn enemy you if you kill one of the fae, causing the guards to attack you...?
Shiri2005-04-15 22:11:46
We don't kill the FAETHORN Fae. We kill the Glomdoring Fae, which enemies you to Glomdoring, not Faethorn.

We're against killing the Fae that aren't imprisoned/bound by the enemies. 'cause the only reason to kill them is...to imprison/bind them to the enemies.

So I guess that the demons, cherubs, etc. from both Cosmic planes are also enslaved. Because all those creatures are the equivalent of what the fae are to Ethereal/Wiccans. The Wiccans are the connection between the Ethereal-Prime, the fae alongside with the Wiccans and Druids have both collaborated in the protection of the forests/nature, a collaboration that ONLY the Serenwilde/Moondancers managed to mantain up to this day. Serenwilde definately doesn't steal the fae, they've been doing what every wiccan has probably been doing since the times of Ellindel. If they get "They are loyal to Moon Spirit", can it be because the Moon Spirit is a close connection with the Ethereal? By the way, if the fae's relationship with enslaving Serenwilde is so bad, why didn't the fae leave Ethereal Serenwilde just as they appereantly left Glomdoring?
Akraasiel2005-04-15 22:35:46
Seren fae are bound to Moon, just like Glom fae are bound to Night.
Shiri2005-04-15 22:37:25
But, obviously, we don't see that as a bad thing.
Desdemona2005-04-15 22:39:25
I'm not getting fully involved with the Night fae, because I have missed on the whole thing... So I am not going to comment if they are enslaved or not, or whatever. What I will say, is that Serenwilde may surely kill those fae that are loyal to Glomdoring. The same would be applicable, if it were Glomdoring the one who were to kill the faes that were loyal to Serenwilde.

One quick question. In all this event what has the Faeslayer being doing? Is he enemies to Faethorn?

Daganev, you keep acting as if, based on OOC comparrisons, we should be RPing different.. you are the biggest hypocrit!

IRL, EVERYONE has bias-views.. every read 1984? You should, there's a nifty little term called doublethink which covers this whole situation. It is the idea of believing two contradictory ideas at the same time and accepting both of them.. it happens all the time IRL.. sure.. its WRONG to kill someone.. but oh, yeah, lets haul these guys down to Texas and hit them in the head with a brick, after all, they're criminals!

You keep acting like our IRL perspectives on things should shape our RP, and that is just wrong. Its the same thing as with the racism argument, OOCly, we don't agree with it, ICly, its set into the world, just like the Seren thinking "Hey, we're FREEING these Nightbound fae. Look, we're even ressurecting them and guiding them to a place of safety!" compared to "Don't kill the Fae, they are innocent and pure!" we can believe them both, because that is how group psychology works.
Daganev2005-04-16 01:08:13
Since when is asking for consistancy having OOC things affect IC things?

But thats ok, I'm enjoying making blankent statements about your inability to see any complexities in the game, and are looking only at what the quest needs, and then comming up with some lame RP excuse for it to be that way.

When your attitude is kill now ask questions later, it stinks to me of not getting into your charachters head, because many things that you don't know about ... like how the fae have as much as a connection to you when its in glmodoring or in serenwilde (as an elf). But no, you as a player don't know that so obviously your charachter can't feel it, even though Maeve said it explicitly.

You meant to say the Moondancers not Serenwilde. People need to get that sorted. Ok, there are more of them so it seems it sometimes but not all of us are fanatical Fae lovers. Fae serve a purpose, as long as they serve that purpose thats all good. If killing Fae serves that purpose that is what Alyss will do. Her only job is...as Daganev said to me in a tell yesterday "protect dat silly tree". Whatever helps me do that, is all good by me.

It is loyal to the Faethorn realm.

give Honey to Brownie.. boing.

Take Brownie to Avatar
Oh thank you, now he will follow me.

Probe Brownie
this brownie looks like  a seren brownie.
It is loyal to Mother Moon.
Fae are perfectly happy NOT being loyal to a Moon Avatar, Serenwilde is not.

Not sure if this has been addressed (I'm slowing catching up with the pages upon pages of stuff), but Serenwilde Fae don't look any different to wandering fae.

I think the difference between Night/Moon is that the Moon Avatars are protecting them and tell them to 'be free!', while the Night avatars bind them against their will in shadow.

Oocly, I can agree that technically Moon is binding the mobiles just as equally as Night... but in the game world there is definitely a bondage/freedom difference. I'd like to see the Glomdoring people actually embrace their own role a bit more, rather than trying to carry over Serenwilde's philosophy. As in, "these pathetic fae are weak, they are useless unless they are bound by Night. If they can't be forced to slave to our purpose, then they should die."

Also, it is wrong to say that Serenwilde just started killing them indiscriminately without a thought to complete the power quest. There were quite a few objections raised, and debated.

Edit: Oh, and of course they exist quite happily without being loyal either to Moon or Night, but I was contrasting the two.
Erion2005-04-16 03:51:56
That's Erion's philo. o.O But then again, Erion's been known to slaughter and eat Fae, so.
Desdemona2005-04-16 04:05:14
Erion, I guess you'll be becoming an Glom Druid... or your reputation of Faeslayer will be going down the drain! tongue.gif
Erion2005-04-16 04:14:48
Why? Erion's worked avidly for the Coven. Erion wants to be held in high regard by Night. tongue.gif

And Eri can still slay Fae. He just does the Moon Fae now. tongue.gif
