Ok, No one plays Orclach.

You hear me? No one.

I'm the only orclach in the game. Thats how much they suck.

They desprately need an upgrade, much more than any of the other races. At least with Taurians and Krokani, you see others of your race every once in a while.... I've never ever seen another Orclach.

So, my point being - I want other orclach, cause they would be cool. Make it so people actually have reason to play as orclach.

I am finished.
Desdemona2005-04-15 01:27:27
*peer* I remember I managed tp convert you once into Taurianhood... So, don't ditch the Taurians! Upgrade Taurians first, and then Orclach. tongue.gif

Orclachs should be removed of their great weakness to fire, plus +1 cont, and THEY should receive an additional UrGuard bonus upon becoming Lich, perhaps an extra +1 +1 strength.

By the way, look for Graal or is it Gaara? Meh, he's an Ur'Guard Orclach.
Unknown2005-04-15 01:30:00
He is also me.... or was. I think i reincarnated and left him. Still a novice, right?

EDIT: doh.gif I had an Ur'Guard with a name similar to that, who was also an Orclach. But I just honorsed him, and that sure as hell ain't me. Ok, that makes 2 of us.
Shiri2005-04-15 01:30:32
Graal is an Orclach.
Gaara is a Naruto character.

And Orclach, Taurian, Faeling (yes), Furrikin, Krokani, all need upgrades. tongue.gif

Do I know your character IC?
Daganev2005-04-15 01:35:22
Why do you leave tae'dae out of that list? Are you aware how many tae'daes there are?
Desdemona2005-04-15 01:38:31
Hey, at least a Tae'dae can go to Astral and bash at low levels, and level up without too much trouble. I would like to see a Taurian/Orclach warrior boasting of doing the same.

But just to make you happy... Tae'daes gain experience slower level 2 instead of three. I'd change nothing more on them. *shrug* Suggest something yourself.
Daganev2005-04-15 01:44:00
I don't know what to suggest, but I'm the only one who has stayed a tae'dae.

I think the best thing to fix for tae'dae is to make Charisma mean more while influencing, and/or reduce the speed penalties a bit.

The exp thing I don't really notice.. I've never had a charachter this high level before.

The equilibrium penalty really has to go. It was put there to stop mages from becoming tae'dae and abusing the regen they use to have in beta... but that slowness needs to move down to level 1... too many adjuct abliities rely on equilibrium.

Maybe tongue.gif .

The thing with that, Daganev, is that unlike all the races I listed, Tae'dae have a chance at not sucking as far as race goes.

See, there are better races, so very few people are gonna be one. But they're not AS disadvantaged.
Daganev2005-04-15 01:49:25
I have -never- won a fight against anyone above level 50. -never- Any attack I can do, they can heal completely by the time I attack again, heck, I have to think really hard if 'Diagnose' is worth the loss in time.

Desdemona2005-04-15 01:53:30
Raguel is a Tae'dae, there are still many Tae'daes out there... I think some have gone dormant, dormancy seems to be like the current epidemic... which is bad, it takes a heavy toll on the races that were already rare, therefore making ever harder to notice.

I am not sure what you meant with their slowness be lowered to a level one... Which in case of the Tae'dae I consider unacceptable. Unless you would also take all their level 3 advantages and lower them a bit, then you'd also should be able to lower their disadvantages. Or what if Tae'dae had level 2 gain xp more slowly, lv 2 every disadvantage, and had CAN ONLY WEAR GREATROBES?

Although I agree that offensively those are harsh penalties... defensively Tae'dae should be fantastic. Also, with things like stun you have a good chance of immobilising them so they can't react quickly anyway.

Edit: Additionally, I'm surprised I don't see more Tae'dae as Stag Serenguard. The balance-heightening facepaint would be rather helpful, I imagine. Or the equilibrium one, Daganev.
Shiri2005-04-15 02:03:33
Desdemona? Why would you even think that only wearing great robes is in any way realistic? It doesn't even make sense. :/
Daganev2005-04-15 02:05:54
Viscanti stun better than tae'dae...

Anything tae'dae can do, everyone else can do better. If I stun a fealing, they get unstunned, can attack me, and attack me again before I get balance back. Its just not fun, I ment equilibrium to be faster not balance.

To many important but non offensive things require equilibrium to move forward. Like diagnose, defences, healing.. hitting a shield (thats the worst)
Unknown2005-04-15 02:13:33
Tae'dae doesn't need any upgrades. for Orclach, maybe take away the equiblium and the fire penality, and maybe thats it. Faeling and Taurian, no!
Elryn2005-04-15 02:14:35
Well, lets see. Orclach have death cult origins... what about if they got a bonus of some kind for killing things?

Can SACRIFICE creatures upon reaching level 50.

Ritually sacrifice any creature above a certain level to gain a temporary bonus to strength, damage, health, or something?

Or just give them a bonus at night, maybe.
Shiri2005-04-15 02:16:03
That's a Necromancy skill.
It wouldn't work as a racial ability. Besides, it's cultural rather than biological, which I should think would be shied away from.
Silvanus2005-04-15 02:18:23
Orclach:
Stats: +1 Strength, about it.

Advantages: Heal faster from elixirs, level 1.

Disadvantages: -2 Suspectability to fire (instead of -3)

In proper format:

CODE

Descended from the Elder God Orlachmar, the orclach are one of the
largest and strongest of the races. Their thick, mottled skin (generally
a slate grey colour, though some tend to exhibit green tinges) provide
excellent protection from physical abuse and their innate healing powers
are legendary. They are a warrior race who maintained a strict military
caste known as the ur'Guard. During the time of the Holy Celestine
Empire, the ur'Guard were the main peacekeeping forces of the Empire,
though after the Taint, they relocated to Magnagora to follow their death
cult origins (though the modern day ur'Guard is open to any race). Many
orclach who were caught in the Taint were twisted and broken into the
sub-race of orcs, who are pale imitations to the true orclach. Because of
this, there is a rift between those orclach who feel betrayed by the
Taint and those who embrace it.

STATISTICS:
Strength    : 16     Dexterity   : 10     Constitution: 14

Elryn2005-04-15 02:18:56
Meh, I still think Faelings and Furrikins (aside from the specializations of Trill) are the races most in need of critical rebalancing.
