I'm sure you meant, taint and anti-taint becomes more important, but I'll forgive you the mistake this once.

Erm, and to offer basis for my belief to the closeness of Lusternian events/Celtic lore, look up Brigid... Her symbols were bees and butterflies. I don't remember the specifics, but she was bright and cheery, then she touched a pool or something, and became all corrupted. o.O Don't know the fine points, Akraasiel could give a more apt description.
Richter2005-04-15 16:12:50
Morrigana/Akraasiel has been looking into this for a long time, and had a great deal of knowledge about crow-ish/celtic stuff before.
And now, we have an interesting situation.
Glomdoring/Magnagora vs. Serenwilde/Celest (Taint vs. no taint)
Glomdoring/Serenwilde vs. Magnagora/Celest (Communes vs. cities)
Glomdoring/Serenwilde vs. Magnagora vs. Celest (Communes vs unallied cities {I mean, can you see mag and celest allied?})
Glomdoring giving everyone the finger and watching as Serenwilde/Celest goes at it with Magnagora.
I think everyone is starting to have some common ground, yet fundamental differences.
Perhaps each place needs quests to hurt the others, that way nothing can be really called "hard-coded", and it is left up to the players to decide which common grounds will allow them to ally to whom.

I'm one of the little quiet voices that doesn't want another organization pissed off at the Seren. Celest and Magnagora are looking unfriendly right now, especailly Celest, probably thinking that Glomdoring will answer all their potion needs.
Desdemona2005-04-15 16:23:21
Glomdoring/Serenwilde vs. Celest vs. Magnagora would be fun. BUT, I can actually see Mag and Celest together.
Tainted Nature was the result of Nature being defiled. It became Tainted Nature, because it was all bruised and scarred and it never managed to heal properly. Kethuru can be rather harsh.

Our only Avatar atm has already said, no Seren/glom alliances.

Well, judging by things Akraasiel sent me a good 4-5 weeks ago (Like, when Viravain FIRST appeared), things have been following Celtic lore pretty closely. =\\ I'm guessing this first Avatar is closest to Badb, the Battle Crow. Badb also took the form of a Raven and a Wolf. =\\ So, I imagine "wolf" was changed to "hound".
I could see a mare, as another aspect of Morrigan was Macha, a goddess linked to horses and kingship.
As to the remaining aspect, I'm getting eye-twitches over this. Anann would be the third aspect, who was goddess of fertility, prosperity, and... Cattle. =\\ And since fertility is female, we're talking cow.
All hail Munsia, prophet of Night.

I think you are -trying- to make too much of a connection between the mythology and the game. There is plenty of inspiration there, but I really do not see a mare as Morrigan (using your spelling, not how I would spell Her name) at all. I have never ever herd of Macha tho, so meh. Morrigan was a Goddess of death and rebirth, though, so I can see where you are coming from.
EDIT: Did some more research, Macha is apparently the Crone aspect of the tripple goddess. The Crone is the final stage of a femals life cycle, representing wisdom, experience, teaching and, of course, death and rebirth. It's odd I've never heard the name Macha mentioned before. Oh well..

Why do you people think Serenwilde and Glom will ally, just because Glom might be released as a commune. Only someone like Nikua, would actually with glom. Serenwilde always be bitter enemies with Glom, just like Celest is with Magnagora
Erion2005-04-15 16:48:58
Eh, our only Avatar atm has said no alliance. Otherwise, it could be communes v cities. And it was a Seren that suggested it to the Avatar.

Then kill that Avatar! And if the other Avatars start with the "Glom kill Seren", or "Seren is not Glom's friend"... kill them too!
Erion2005-04-15 16:50:21
They speak for Night.
Unknown2005-04-15 16:50:33
Any serenwilde that wishes for an alliance with Glom, you should open your eyes. Crow is the bitter enemy of WhiteHart, you should be beep enemies with them!
Erion2005-04-15 16:52:22
What's a beep enemies? Is this like, where we're driving down the highway, and we honk our horns at each other? And give the finger?

I think the science on a molecular leve would be neat to look at. Or maybe its just one of those "magic" things.
Shiri2005-04-15 17:58:08
The problem is that if Elryn's right...well, fine.
But if Daganev's right, Serenwilde's screwed for RP. We have no good reason to be anti-Taint, because it coexists just fine with nature. And we can't hate the cities, because the only real reason we have to hate the cities (and that's debatable) is "they released the Taint!" Seeing as this suddenly isn't a problem...
