Subject: To Celest: A matter of common cause.
Details:

From a historical perspective, there are always times when organisations on less-than-courteous terms must band together for the purposes of ensuring that the world does not go astray. Most recently we have seen this happen as a result of an incident with Kethuru. Citizens from Celest and Magnagora, Disciples of Crow and Sycophants of the White Hart, many in the realms bear the scars of a battle between the forces of Good and Evil. As mortals, we banded together under the banner of Good to ensure the success and survival of our various ways of life.
When Kethuru managed to find a foothold in our world, we discovered, as a people, that there is common cause to be found in the name of doing what is Right, and what is Just. It is in the name of that common cause, of Good, Justice, and Righteousness, that I write this post. I do not claim to represent any organisation, I do not claim to speak on behalf of any people, I speak only in the hopes that my pleas will be heard and heeded.
Celest is arrayed against the Taint. In the name of the Light, they wage war on all that they see as Corrupted by Kethuru’s touch. They do so because their cause is Good, Just, and Righteous. Honour and Integrity are two of the beliefs that I have heard many Celestians claim as their own. I admit I have been sceptical and critical of such claims, but I do believe that all Celestians act to integrate such teachings into their lives as best they can. It is with that belief in mind, that I make my request of the city of New Celest.
The Glomdoring forest has been rejuvenated by the efforts of Lady Viravain. The forest itself cries out for stewards, loyal denizens capable of tending to the great beauty found in its borders. There are many who seek to assemble that group of stewards, out of a desire to see the Glomdoring treated well. The most immediate concern of those many is the establishment of a Coven, and the next step towards that goal is the resurrection of the Great Avatars of Mother Night. We must restore the balance between Night and Moon, else the world will continue to waver, out of alignment with what must be.
It is in that quest for balance that I call upon New Celest. I, who have long been an opponent of the City of Light, beseech them for their aid in this time of danger. Not because I wish to turn the City away from the Light, but because of common cause. Because their assistance will be a step towards the path of all that is Good, Just, and Righteous. Even now I can hear a resounding scoff from you Celestian readers, but I mean what I say.
Serenwilde, in its maniacal quest to retain its monopoly over all things alchemical and Ethereal, has gone to war with the Glomdoring. They do so in complete violation of an agreement forged between our cause and theirs. Queen Maeve, the Great Lady of the Fae, has said that balance must come. The Serenwilde negotiator with whom I spoke, Laysus, said, and I quote, “Who are we to stand in the way of balance?” The excuse offered is that they do so in self-defence, in an attempt to preserve their way against a threat. Their sole evidence is the statement of Gwyllgi, the Dog of Darkness, explaining that there would be violence between the Seren and the Glom, regardless.
Violence is but a part of Peace, as Death is a part of Life. The celestial scale must be held in balance, and both sides of that scale must then strike and counter-strike against one another. Labels such as Good and Evil cannot be applied to either side of the scale, for the true Good is to ensure that there exists a balance. Evil is the greedy, selfish desire to keep the balance eternally tilted in one’s favour, and Serenwilde is truly Evil.
New Celest, while your initial reaction may be to cheer for any opposition towards the return of tainted creatures, I urge you to look at the bigger picture. The Great Avatars of Mother Night will return regardless of the Serenwilde’s insane wishes, for such is the nature of the conflict of Good versus Evil. Balance will always vanquish imbalance, but at what cost? How many people must die, how many innocents must be slain, how many agreements shattered? Celest has an opportunity to speed up this Balancing, and in doing so, save countless people the scars of War.
I call upon Celest. Please, read my words, and see the truth in them. While the Glomdoring seems to be your enemy, for its Tainted origins, that is not so. The true enemy in this conflict is Imbalance, and I beg New Celest to stand with those who seek it. It is the nature of the world for Light to fight Dark, but such battles cannot be waged without Good’s triumph over the Evil of a skewed galactic scale.

Thank you for your time,
Visaeris Maeloch.
