I thought it was Vis that did it? That's what I heard, anyway.
Alts used in that was do suck, though, but we have been getting the pointy end of that stick too.

There were two prominent 'Glomdoring' individuals adding essence to the focuses for the Avatars. Perhaps they didn't intend to raise them quite yet if what you say is true, otherwise, look within.
Arilyon2005-04-18 14:48:13
It's absolutely ridiculous at this point. Someone can just decide to get grumpy one day, log on an alt, raise an Avatar then go nudge Tuek or Narsrim and all that work is pfft right down the drain. It's frustrating to the point where I just don't even have words to begin explaining it. Why people feel the need to do something like that.. I just have no idea.
Unknown2005-04-18 14:49:23
Just make sure Tuek doesn't come near the avatars, have a watchful guard 24/7 stationed at the entrance to glom
Summer2005-04-18 16:53:09
How on earth would stationing a guard at the entrance stop Tuek anyway? Besides, there are so many entrances.
Me visualises:
*poor hardworking guards blocks the exit*
*uber-tuek comes along in the air and flies right in without guards being any the wiser*
or if there are demesnes:
*poor very-not-tanky mage sets up demesne*
*uber-tuek strolls in, tanks the demesne and anyone that happens along to help and toads the mage*
*poor mage gets stomped to death*

I seriously hope these accusations are false. If Visaeris did use an alt to raise Gwyllgi, I hope a god looks into it.
I just heard about it from a couple of people, thankfully when Gwyllgi died, we didn't lose any power. So, I think a god's been watching. *pray*

Ah, I just read this thread. Gwyllgi was my fault. I resurrected him to test some upgrades to the avatars (which I've since found out may be buggy). I'm giving the Glomdoring nexus an extra 1000 power in compensation for an admin error (well, my error).
Unknown2005-04-18 17:28:01
Thanks Estarra! Rumours were flying as they were prone to do and it's good to see they were unfounded. I think someone needs to apologise to Visaeris for accusing him of it
Summer2005-04-18 17:38:12
Should have heard all the speculations on IRC Even Tuek got suspected.
Terenas2005-04-18 17:39:16
I heard Visaeris is in fact pretending to raise Glom but in reality is trying to sabotage the whole thing to buy entrance into Celest. All truth, honest!
Daganev2005-04-18 17:41:47
I would just like to comment, that people said they can't stop killing the avatars because OOC info should not affect thier IC actions, yet are suggesting glomdoring NOT raise the avatars despite that being VERY VERY bad ICly.
Xenthos2005-04-18 18:00:58
Uh, no, it's not bad ICly, if you follow Viravain instead of Night at least (which I know a lot of folk do).

That's totally different. The IC reason for not raising the avatars is that they know they can't defend them, and will wait until they can raise all three at once and have everything else in place.
Daganev2005-04-18 18:11:20
For those charachters who have devoted themselves to Mother Night, and wish to worhips night it is very very bad for them to just let them 'be dead' and not try to raise them.
That was your suggestion.

If you know they're just going to die, raising them before you really need to is like sentencing them to death. That's great RP, raising them only to die.
Daganev2005-04-18 18:17:23
Don't make your bed in the morning, your only going to undo it at night!
Xenthos2005-04-18 18:17:55
That's funny. My bed isn't made.

I kinda disagree, Dag. Even IC, though raising them is important, if you know you can't defend them and that their death drains the nexus, it doesn't seem that OOC to strategically wait until 'the time is right' before raising them. Sometimes you have to accept and ride out a fallow season (to use commune jargon).
Sylphas2005-04-18 18:21:17
Making my bed, and watching something I care for be slain because of my actions are very different things.
Typhus2005-04-18 18:37:53
Avatars use bug dilute! Hah, now fight them!
