Back to Common Grounds.

Because the entire REST of your body is planted on it, just not your feet. tongue.gif

Not necessarily. Ghost, as part of Necromancy, is a ritual. That's why they have the chanting. It seems standing up is part of said ritual.

Flowing means you're discorporating into the undergrowth. In fact, I imagine being closer to the ground would make flow FASTER.

Aye, I'd agree there. Its a good example of the difference between a ritualized Highmagic based ability, and an intuitive Lowmagic based ability.

Don't really care about ghost happening while prone or not, though.

If your lieing on the ground, your feet are not planted, and thats the important part, as thats the part of your body that allows you to move from one place to the next.

Also, the breaze will flow right over you, leaving you on the ground and only your nose will be in the new location nyah.gif
Elryn2005-04-19 00:50:30
We can flow while flying, Daganev.
Daganev2005-04-19 00:54:03
then I was wrong about the feat. but not the breaze!
Unknown2005-04-19 00:56:08
Gah.

Feet.

Breeze.
Shiri2005-04-19 00:56:59
(How do you spell it feet in one post, and feat in the next? Odd spelling is fine, but that's just...curious.)

Anyway, the breeze does too touch the ground.

And that's where it touches it at all. Forests aren't known for being especially windy at all times. :/
Elryn2005-04-19 00:57:14
What is the breeze you are talking about? huh.gif
Shiri2005-04-19 00:58:42
roflmao.gif Good point, why was I arguing about the breeze when that's not even relevant?
Unknown2005-04-19 01:07:02
To do with the message the skill leaves, something about being scattered by the forest breeze.

Next he will argue that we shouldn't be able to do it when it isn't windy tongue.gif.
Elryn2005-04-19 01:09:10
Ah, but thats only what observers think they see.

You shed Faeling form and flow as a spirit through the verdant leaves,
embracing the physical once more and arrive at Within a forgotten grove.

That's what the forestal sees.
Unknown2005-04-19 01:11:19
Oh I know that, but he can't exactly argue from anyone's point of view other than his own, can he? tongue.gif.

WEll then obviously you should not be allowed to flow if your not a faeling...
Xenthos2005-04-19 01:16:38
Um, it changes depending on your race. Elryn happens to be a Faeling.
Narsrim2005-04-19 01:16:54
You shed Dwarf form and flow as a spirit through the verdant leaves,
embracing the physical once more and arrive at Within a forgotten grove.

Smack.

Elryn2005-04-19 01:17:37
I'm a Faeling, Daganev. That would be why I shed Faeling form. If a Viscanti flows, they shed Viscanti form.

I imagine you were joking, of course.

Edit: Whoa, you people sure can type fast. wacko.gif
Shiri2005-04-19 01:20:23
He wasn't serious, y'know. tongue.gif

(Oh gods, now he's going to surprise me.)
Llexyn2005-04-19 01:25:21
How about someone just making this entire thread simple.

Make all forms of travel impossible with a monolith sigil.

There. Problem solved. harhar1.gif

So says the enchanter who can create and blow up monoliths.
Daganev2005-04-19 01:30:45
AHA! No Flowing if you don't have hair, since you have to shed.
