I assure you that it's -very- unlikely a Soulless God will pretend to be a Seer. It brings the attention down on them, and the pressure to get any potential Seeings correct.
Exactly what i've been trying to say since the beginning
Daganev2005-04-21 19:00:30
However, as seer you have only been labeling soulless, so that preasure is removed.
Sure it will only work 3 times, but thats a good track record because that means 6 elders dead and only 1 soulless.

Or four Soulless dead, and the game won. Sure, Laysus was lucky. But Xenthos ASKED TO BE SAW
I wouldn't have checked him if he hadn't. I would have checked Shiri.

Daganev2005-04-21 19:07:11
Yes, I'm just stating its not a risk. I would now collect the information of all the soulless at this point, and this way you can set them up.
Or if you have better arguments than logs.
I would only trust a seer if I was a guardian and they told me I was a guardian.

Shiri2005-04-21 19:10:22
Yeah, in retrospect, I should have done that too. I already had someone else claim to be a Seer and approached me about it, but this was after I admitted it, so it made me a lot more suspicious. I'm still considering them, but. Still.

Yes, I asked you to check me... because I believed that you really were a Seer. *shrugs* And now I die because of that trust.
Unknown2005-04-21 19:46:51
I'm beginning to think it's in our best interest to kill Xenthos today and Soll tomorrow.
Soll2005-04-21 19:50:11
Sure. I suppose I can die happy knowing that I half finished the game. I just pray you have enough collective intellect to know who to kill next.
I have been requested to See someone tonight. I believe this is by a member of the Soulless, so that I then look like a complete faker when I come out tommorow, saying he's Soulless. Afterall, I see no reason a non-Soulless would want to be seen by 'the doubted Seer' But whatever, s/he will be checked tonight, and I will release, if I view it appropriate, her/his stance when the morn comes.

Remember: you 'win' even if you die, if your side wins. I'm just at the juncture that without another, confirmed Seer, we're lost.
We need another Seer to check Soll and confirm with him. Send him the message XYZ tonight if you have checked and confirmed. If he gets more than one message, he knows that he has some Soulless in the market. If he's lying, then ONE seer can reveal themselves and we can be rid of him. If the second seer confirms and Soll posts, and there exists a seer that has not messaged Soll XYZ, we know Soll's lying.
I think. My head hurts. Time for work.

Hopefully, Nyla wasn't a Seer
Soll2005-04-21 20:22:27
I considered doing that on Night 2, actually, to find out what we'd lost. If more than 5 people ask, with posts on the board, for me to see what Nyla was, I will do so.
Navaryn2005-04-21 20:35:38
We can check dead people?

Xenthos2005-04-22 02:45:05
Hmmm... let's see. A nice BIG steak, medium rare... mashed potatoes with a hint of garlic, and warm fresh corn on the cob with a thick slab of butter, please. And then a nice piece of chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting, and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for dessert.
And I want everyone to watch me eat, but they don't get to eat any, either! So they just have to sit and waaaaait. *sagenod*

What cut of steak, and how served?
I could go for a good Filet Mignon au Poivre right now .

Huh, I dunno. Nothing in the rules against it if you really want to waste your night like that I guess.
*considers making Xenthos watch everyone eat instead for making me hungry*

End of Day 2
Annelia (Voted Soll)
Bobstar
Daganev (Voted Quidgyboo)
Jack
Navaryn (Voted Xenthos)
Nayl (Voted Xenthos)
Quidgyboo (Voted Shiri)
Shamarah
Shiri (Voted Xenthos)
Shoshana (Voted Xenthos)
Soll (Voted Xenthos)
Sylphas (Voted Xenthos)
Tsuki
Nyla (Night 1: Was too popular for his own good and got pwnt)
Laysus (Day 1: Got accused unanimously and burnt at the stake)
Kashim (Night 2: Was the unlucky one who got killed instead of XYZ)
Xenthos (Voted Soll) (Day 2: Got poisoned by his last meal)
And for all who haven't voted,
"I have seen his face in my vision," Soll, Self-Proclaimed Seer cried, once again, pointing at Xenthos. "And he is a Soulless."
Just as the unthinking mob was poised on the verge of delivering to Xenthos the fate Laysus, the Unfortunate suffered, Bobstar, Voice of Reason injected a point, "Is it not an incredible chance that Soll should find 2 Soulless in as many nights?"
Stopping in their tracks, the mob started to discuss among themselves. To help prove their point, Xenthos, the Convicted and Daganev, Sacrificer of Innocent Elders demonstrated tricks by which charlatans may use to fool the gullible and unwary.
"I'll still vote for Xenthos. I believe Soll," stated Navaryn, the Faithful.
"Well, _I_ don't," returned Annelia, casting her vote for Soll.
The rest of the crowd, milling around in confusion, eventually settled on killing Xenthos, with Soll, perhaps, to follow. Pouncing on Xenthos, the Convicted, they started dragging him towards the second stake, readied besided Laysus's grisly burnt remains.
"Heyyy! Don't I get a last meal? Tis the civilised thing to do!" Xenthos, the Convicted managed to squeak. The crowd paused, and agreed. A nice BIG steak, medium rare, mashed potatoes with a hint of garlic, fresh corn on the cob with a thick slab of butter, and chocolatey ice-cream was served to him while everyone watched and drooled.
Unfortunately for Xenthos, the Convicted , the food was laced with Saxitin, and the sun burnt him to death.

Was debating whether to give it to Daganev or Bobstar, but since Bobstar had another possible title...
Xenthos2005-04-22 17:43:18
Did I at least get to eat it all before the poison kicked in?
Summer2005-04-22 17:44:32
Well... I dunno. Did you? How fast do you eat? *stares at the pile of food left*
