Just because you are able to ignore those connections, or reject them, or act out against them, does not mean those connections are not there.

No, those connections are only there if you want them to be there. It is very possible for humans to have sex without any sort of want or need from one another. That bond is definitely a nice thing, but its not automatic, nor is it mandatory.

Interestingly, studies have been done showing the simplest of touches, such as a checkout person touching the hand of the customer when he or she takes the money, has a measured effect on the customers general rating of the experience. I don't have the study at the moment, it is one of my psych resources.

Does that affect the rating positively or negatively? And does it take into account that some people don't like to be touched by strangers / most strangers? If I find out they do that to me on purpose, their ratings will go way down. *mutters about her irritating insurance agent who likes touching and patting people too much*
