Heh! Amaru always claims that they look more humanoid than wolf. *twitch* Anyhow, great artwork.
Roark2005-04-19 12:02:22
This is one of the very animalistic portraits I was refering to when some were complaining the artist was relying too much on human forms. You just happened to vote for the most human ones first! tongue.gif

Grr! Scary doggy!

Inutenma's like half elfen or something, because she lives in the forest, but she's a Loboshigaru. She's got the dog ears, fangs, claws, and even has a thin layer of fur over her skin. happy.gif

I'm with Jadryga here.

That's a wereboar right there. tongue.gif

(Mononoke's pigs weren't as nasty? What about when they were covered in random red worms? :/)
Xavius2005-04-19 14:10:31
Anyone else notice that the artist likes small sticks? The faeling's cudgel was seven inches long, and the lobo's staff isn't long enough to reach the ground.

he looks sci-fi but awesome.

Yeah, does look sci-fi with the metal plate on his head. Other then that, not bad.
Richter2005-04-19 15:34:41
Maybe not all kinds of lobo have the same teeth structure?

And I love the helm, I'm making one now! If anyone else can think of a better description for a loboshigaru muzzle helm, send it in, and I'll submit it!
Jack2005-04-19 15:38:09
Definitely my favourite pic so far.
Desdemona2005-04-19 16:27:28
The big bad wolf surely is frightening!

And no, it's a wolf not a warthog, it has no tusks nor is bulky enough, nor a pig snout... Also, take a look at it's legs. Warthogs don't have claws/paws like that. Hm, too bad that the lobo isn't showing it's tail.

That depends on decent. If there is other racial blood in them or not I believe.
Roark2005-04-19 17:04:36
For sci-fi, the armour does not have any wirings in it. If anything, sci-fi movies that use armour like this borrowed from fantasy. Why can't a forger create markings in his work? Maybe the carvings in the metal have some ritualistic meaning for lobos.

How could Malicia ever fall for such an ugly dog. halo.gif

It's called love is blind. happy.gif

Upon closer inspection, you'll see that the underbite looks like little tusks rather than fangs, and the muzzle looks rather flat mellow.gif my vote's with the merian still.

Yay! I love the muzzle armour, makes perfect sense for any race that isn't flat-faced like us human-looking suckers.

wub.gif Loboshi now...maybe I need to reincarnate *ponder*
Tehn2005-04-19 23:05:50
Man, look at those ti.... oh wait.. a male won??.... Hrm... I see......
thakin2005-04-19 23:26:42
Looks like a Wereboar all the way. I see lobo's looking more like the werewolf form a druid can take in Diablo 2, not that I like play that or anything, uhh Lusternia all the way? -duck-
Devris2005-04-20 04:09:09
Yes, yes, come join the Loboshigaru!

Release those animal instincts! Visit your ancestors in the Tosha Monastery!

*this message brought to you by the "People for Better Loboshigaru"*

All the races have looked pretty cool so far, we need like the one dopey looking race so we can all point and laugh at it.
Aebrin2005-04-20 05:37:08
Y'know I would love to see an actual "Monks" class.

Not like the ones in the other IRE games but:

just looking at the picture:

Concocting stuff which enhances fighting style. Fighting style in relation to trance. Perhaps a weapons usage. Maybe like a mix between Karate fighters and Ninja fighters.
